DrivewayOfMisfits
Добавлен 2 июл 2015
Most of the vids on my channel revolve around my interest in bowling (particularly vintage bowling equipment from the 1980s and my use of it on today's modern conditions) as well as my 1968 VW Beetle and my restoration of the car.
The LeBaron is now marginally cleaner
A few hours above freezing and without snow gave me a chance to clean up the LeBaron a bit.

Hello, could you show me how to activate the camera on a Fiat 500X year 2023?
I have a faball enterprises blue urethane hammer not sure on what year but it is a Utah pour and it is drilled 2 times plugged once in same spot . And I have it at 100 grit sandpaper then 120 trucut from creating the difference and i bowl on old wood lanes in the second league of the night so we got basically no oil slots of carry down and I used my blue hammer and HOLY COW does she now hook. She goes 40 feet and says bye like she got kicked she hooks a good 2 arrows more then she did before being put to 120 grit . I did the same to my blue pearl from 87 and I thought my reactive balls hockey stick. She goes as long as my blue hammer but hooks a good 4 more boards and is quicker in the change of direction. But I do have a Baltimore pour pink hammer the darker pink hammer but that is beside the point . I can buy a used old school urethane ball from the 80's-90's and they last for ever . While the reactive balls all it takes is the temp or how it is stored or any number of things can make them break. I wish you had a video on your faball enterprises blue and black hammers vs the angles.
I have a 2010 Manual with 232k on it. I had a shop do this at 150k. I'm ready to do it myself. Thanks !
thank you
I found a gold Angle at the thrift and used it mostly in open bowling. It pretty was wasted but I dug out a high score of 279 with it.
Thank you. Very useful information.
Good idea. Thank you.
Thank you. I had heard that before; you have served as a great reminder for the 67 VW that am fixing.
Thanks for posting this. Will being doing this in a week! Video has provided great advice and just the right level of detail. All the best.
Jamie's assisted rescue. 😂Love your car!
I love seeing these Chrysler cars being saved. Nice to see that you actually took the time to clean it up. The exterior color is very rare and unusual. I love it. Take your time and finish up the engine bay and keep loving on it.
I had an '89 Reliant in the early 90s, and that was one of the easiest cars I've ever had to work on. I wish I still had it today. I'd drive on Woodward in the summer months. I was a big fan of this car in high school, that and the Dodge Daytona.
Loved the LeBaron growing up.
I am looking forward to your first drive video.
It's gonna be quite a while but good things come to those who wait. Happy New Year btw!
@@chrisfreemesser A very Happy New Years night to you. Stay warm.
The hatch stays up by itself? What?
The hood too...can you believe it?
@@chrisfreemesser No I can't. It is a New Years Miracle.
Are you going to go with a set of 24's?
I might have to hack out the wheel arches to fit 'em, but hey,why not? 😉
Looks pretty tidy have I got the right channel brother hood
G'day to you sir!
Fantastic vid thank you, these are great little cars even though I have to duck down to see traffic lights if I am first up lol
I had a black in the 80s, and that ball hit hard.
hot hatch !! Now you just need a Daytona turbo engine
Mitsubishi engine bulletproof.
The 2.2L engine in these is a Chrysler powerplant, not Mitsubishi
@chrisfreemesser5707 look closer
Wow, congrats. I watched Jamie get this running on his channel. Also seen you on Kiwi's Tuesday night live. Good luck with it, fellow New Yorker.
Great car!
Sick! I had one of these... decent solid little car.
A really nice example! My parents in the early to mid 90's had one while I was a little kid. I wish these weren't so rare. I've always loved this car. In my opinion, it's the BEST looking car of the mid 80's. I think the styling has held up pretty well with it being a little more "aero" and the bumpers all being flush mounted.
So much B R O W N
I know...isn't it GREAT?
Beautiful car! Wonderful condition with nice low mileage! I'd take this over a BMW or Mercedes anyday!!!! I perfer to drive 80's vehicles. Better built, easy to work.on and parts and WAY more reliable!
I’ve never seen one before seeing as I live in Australia! But I like it,interesting car mate. I own an Australia built,1980 Chrysler and the model is a CM. (On my channel) Chrysler Australia also had a “Lebaron” model here too in the CM range. Mines a regal sedan. Best of luck with it,looks fab
What'd Ya Pay for It?
A *very* reasonable price, all things considered. Shipping it from WA to NY cost me more than the car did!
That’s sweet, I always liked the convertible mid 80’s lebaron with the wood panel sticker, super sweet
Ya know.... John Voight had a car just like that, but it was a convertible.
Well we know for sure that wasn't Jon Voight's LeBaron..... his was an '89.
the ignition switch wire goes to a big relay that is under the driver's side under the rear seat.
Yes I remember when Jamie pick this one up. Good luck with your new toy!
I had the same color car I bought when it was about 5 yrs old so long time ago. I got the fully loaded one with a turbo and 5spd. Pretty peppy car for its time. A/C was an issue on mine way back then also. Unfortounatly totaled it rear ended a stalled car in the travel lane on a highway in fog. Have to say it was very safe since walked away with no injuries. Anything Chrysler from the 80s I owned it🤣Used to buy K cars and Omnis to flip back then since they were so cheap used.
I had a couple of these as company cars since I was selling OEM parts to Chrysler Engineering in Highland Park, MI. Unfortunately, these cars are junk, K-derivative with armature engineering and execution. Even for "free" I hated driving this car. Sorry to say, but I wouldn't spend 2 minutes on one of these turds.
Well, one man's trash is another man's treasure.
Each to their own I say

great find! I had a 91 Dodge Spirit, Loved to blow head gaskets, but it was easy to fix.
I had that car with 5 speed in 1985, same color. Drove it for about 10 years and 130K miles. I really liked it. Was one of the favorite cars I have owned. Brings back memories.
I do wish mine had the 5-speed...who kinows, maybe someday it will 😉
@@chrisfreemesser I had the1986 version of this car, with a turbo and a five speed. The clutch was not hydraulically assisted, so, it was not too much fun driving in traffic. Like other commentors here, mine had A/C issues as well and did blow a head gasket. That being said, I took it on several long driving trips, and it performed well on them.
You have 629 subs, Chris. You can race it at the NNN. I bet you would win against Turbotom.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
I was considering porcupine as a new nickname for my best friend Paul. It was previously porkchop. This cavalcade clinches it.
That was very very helpful I have been working on that spring for awhile thank u it’s done
This was about 45 years ago when l bowled l always rolled. a 16 pound ball. ,, l was told by the owner of the bowling alley. He hates to see me coming here to bowl because l cost him about $ 75.00 every time because I always WOULD brake a. Bunch of pins l also broke pins at the new MGM IN RENO ,
This is Buddy not Nancy. At time 2:10, the ground wires you pointed to are for the ground. HOWEVER the main ground cable connects down near the starter motor. Ground cables are very important to the vehicles electrical system. P.S. Keeping these connections clean is very important, as are the battery terminals.
I got my hands on a single drill angle plus and threw it last Saturday on 2nd shift on old wood and shot 591 first time throwing it in league and I have it at 120 grit trucut and it is very forgiving for me I missed left and right by 2 to 3 boards and it would hold and go Brooklyn and hit hard leave a pin and miss left and it would go 40 feet and come in and crush the pocket sending pins flying fast and if you got your hands on a angle plus try some low grit trucut pads from creating the difference and you might like it as much as I do.
What if liquid didn’t come out when opened the plug? Is it clogged? 😮
Remove the radiator cap, if nothing comes out then yes, the rad may be clogged, the valve is not open enough, or the rad has no coolant in it 😉
@ I removed the hose, and since it was in the middle of the radiator, only I got 3-4 liters of coolant (1 gal), and on internet it was saying its capacity is 7liters. Then I flushed it using distilled water for 3 times with a prestone chemical, and I set it now for a day, and want to flush it again tomorrow and pour in it a good coolant finally I hope I did it correctly
@@merdanchee The way I do it is to drain out as much coolant as possible, refill with distilled water, let the engine run until the thermostat opens, then let engine cool. Then I repeat the drain/fill/run process two more times. Finally, I drain one last time, add 1/2 total system capacity concentrated coolant, then top off with distilled water to get ~50% mix
Great video.thnks
I had a gray and gold back in the day. Still have my Ultra.. :)
Plus when I set the boards together there is a slight bow between the 2 boards when together. Can't figure that out also thank you for your advise.
If your aftermarket head unit already says it adds 45watts to speakers off internal amp would buying this add to it or would it negate the head units amp?
