Thanks for putting this video together. I just got done installing one of these units in my 2016 Fiat 500X and this video was super helpful. Regarding the two issues you noted, I didn't seem to have them with my setup. My 500X has the Beats audio amp and subwoofer, and the sound quality is great. You mentioned that you might install an amp, and I suspect that would help significantly. I'm not sure if there was an update since you received yours, but I was able to manually set the time on mine. There's a setting to select the source, with the options being network, GPS, and off. If I select off, I'm able to manually set the time.
I have the amp, will be installing it next week and making a video of the process. As for the time thing, XTRONS customer support told me that due to the audio chip they used, time could not be set manually. Seemed like a lame excuse to me at the time, now it's obvious that it was an oversight on their part that was fixable 🤔
Ja ustawiłem godzinę po zmontowaniu. Gdy tylko połączyłem z smartphone to automatycznie ustawił godzinę z godziny z smartphone. Pozdrawiam z Polski. Jestem posiadaczem 500x z pierwszej serii "0" z 1396 limitowanych sztuk w świecie - do Polski przeznaczono tylko 8 sztuk z 2015/2016 rok. Pozdrawiam. wyprodukowanych
Did the amplifier work right away through the harness or did you have to connect it separately? I too have a Beats 500x and am looking forward to installing a xtrons unit but read a lot about the „no sound“ problem.
Question if someone has the answer. I installed radio and it works great. The only thing is back up sensor no longer sound. is this normal when changing to a different radio? or is there a way to make the sound come up. I have a 2016 Fiat 500x
Excellent vid!!! I used it and installed the exact amp you also showed. I followed you step by step! Did your odometer start blinking once you finished? If so, how’d you fix it?
My odometer did not blink...FIATs do that when they detect some sort of communication problem with an electronic module. Try disconnecting your battery for a few minutes. If that doesn't permanently fix it, you may need to do a proxi alignment, which will cause the car to relearn what modules it now has. Neither of my FIATs required this after installing an XTRONS unit though
@@chrisfreemesser It worked! That was going to be my next attempt, and I had a feeling. So I gave it a try after seeing your response and now all is well! Thank you for your Videos, they are excellent!
Hello, could you show me how to activate the camera on a Fiat 500X year 2023?

@@romanpoppe9029 - it worked right away. I didn't have to do anything special with the wiring.
@@thomasmoore3535 Ok great. I'll give it a try since the OEM headunit is pretty slow nowadays. You still happy with the Xtrons?
