Hi there. Not sure get a second apion just to make sure you can. Remember block is going to be bore to max to get 2.8L piston to fit.

Hi there. How much did you buy the light for? If knock off brand then that's your problem. If not look at your wiring that's all I can think of.

Good to see you back
After watching your vid, I ordered mine & installed them this way. With only the original brackets I think this is the best way to install these custom headlights. My only issue now is setting the correct aim, which I overlooked. I will have to remove the grill to get to the screws again but your vid is very helpful. Wiring is quite easy, the bigger challenge will be mounting.

Hi there. You wont hear it because a 276 idle is not that great on braa braa braaa I have a 298 biggest cam on hydraulic.

Why a 288 cam on a solid lifter head? why dont you run 305 our 310 cam you on solid lifter head. I have a 8v hydraulic head running 298 cam.
The 288 cam I use for the street. I have a Mk,1 also 1.8 solid lifter 306 cam I use for racing

I know this is an older video, I also noticed compression was brought up in the comments already. I think that is why the KW/HP is lacking. I have an 1800 in a caddy, 11.5:1 compression, 42/35 ported head, 276/288 hydro cam, weber 38/38, other stuff here and there. I have been building 8vs since the early 2ks. Compression is the answer. The truck runs with mk2 16v GTIs and vr6 swap cars no problem. I bet its making 125-130 wheel based on the races. I need to get it to a dyno. Keep up the awesome videos man!
ACTUALLY THE BEST HEAD TO USE ON A 2.0L 8V BLOCK IS THE 1.4 EFI HEAD JUST BY SWAPING THAT HEAD ON A 2.0 BLOCK RAISES YOU STATIC CR BY 1 POINT FROM 9.1 TO 10.1 AND IF YOU RUN FLAT TOP PISTONS YOU GO TO 12.1 AND OR 13.1 DEPENDING ON HOW MUTCH THAY SCEEMD THE HEAD THE AIRFLOW JUMPS FROM 250CFM TO 295 CFM OH AND GET YOURSELF A 36DCD7 CARBURETOR THAY WORK FANTASTIC WITH THAT SETUP

Hi there. Yes distributor timing can cause ping. Playing around with distributor timing can make your pistons fire to early.
@@ritchiesridemk1vwbuild853 I was referring to the actual dizzy itself. I replaced my dizzy with a aftermarket dizzy and now the car pings
Hi there. So if the car didn't ping with the old distributor then yes look at the after market part then that's the problem.
