The perma death is pretty frustrating and don't really works in deepwoken, im still new to the game but 90% of my deaths were to voidwalkers and the other 10% i almost didn't learn anything because i was running from people If some parts of the game it was enabled like void zones would be cool

The origin isn't locked behind layer 2- you only need to do the summer goons quest at miner's landing. I got it before even having gone to layer tow. In fact, having started the game quite recently, I got it before I got voidwalker!

Tbh i think having the Isle of Vigils start be the "tutorial" start where you are explained everything in detail would be nice. New players get the option of going in blind and getting an actual detailed tutorial. And it plays into the lore of the isle of vigils, making it an actual hub of learning and furthering ones skill. Especially because it has the trainer. Imo the trainer npc is one of the most important npcs for new players and its never explained.

I didn't understand the damage buff part, which ingredients make you do more damage?

I feel like this could be a great way to add layer 3 to the game, where you drill further than intended and you end up in layer 3. Maybe there's a quest on the lowest part of the dungeon where you cut the cable off of the drill and keep decending into the depths. I guess you could also put a layer 3 entrance in layer 2 or something, but the lava and heat theme of this dungeon makes it more fitting thematically.
