Okay everyone might hate me for this but I dont think that kirk is a bad guitar player. I think most professional guitar players struggle in one way or another. Its just rare that you see it on Video. Same with lars.

It's like they're just a poser band that are total beginners at their instruments and some producer and/or studio musicians played all the parts on the albums, then they sent these clowns on the road. :)

for me Metallica is not great because of it quality musicians, but of how good Hetfield and Ulrich are composing songs. I wish they had a different drummer and lead guitarist, though

Man, anyone who’s ever put the time in on the guitbox… Thousands upon thousands of hours and built their skills to a level you never dreamed possible have all had those moments… I feel for him there. Even times I’ve worked on something super simple, hell, I had it down perfect the day before and then for some reason I just can’t get it right. Can still play everything else superbly, but that one stupid riff just isn’t vibing with me at that moment & I just can’t seem to Fkn play the damn thing right!!! Wtf!!!! DAMMIT!!!! 😂

I think Kirk sucks too but this video is not really a good depiction of him sucking. Half of these are common mistakes and struggles for any guitarist. He sucks because his vibrato and his intonation are horrendous, also because his phrasing is really really fucking poor.

Ok, I know this is for humor but @ 0:12, you have to think of the situation. It's an open area and his ear monitor likely was y functioning properly. I can grant Kirk fucks up solo's, but this timing is not due to lack of skill, it's a technical issue. Again, I know it's included for humor's sake, but I think some people out there might not be aware of how much effect venue size affects sound.
