If Google or whichever search engine enables the proliferation of these images were to be sued successfully everytime these images and videos appeared then surely that would put an abrupt end to the matter,although as long as AI tools are available to the masses these images will be made for private consumption at least. Some kind of software or limit needs to be placed onto AI Tools themselves (a sort of blocking mechanism that refuses manipulation of a person's likeness or voice without their prior consent. These technology geeks need to be held to account for their creations (i would personaly go after all of the platforms and search engines for the harm they inflict upon young people especially. That sounds like the victims can sue and get some money, but the people who are making this stuff don't get any prison time. So if the victim is famous enough then the porn could generate enough revenue for it to still be profitable. What they need a prison time because that negates the profit. And most of the time the victim isn't going to find out about it, so no penalty. What about victims who were dead before any porn was ever made about them... It would be better if the system was design so the law engorcement just sends people to prison, instead of the victim having to take action.

What if someone painted a picture of someone famous, naked. Or a drawing, or Photoshop. Would that be considered the same as an AI generated image or content? Wouldn't that be limiting freedom of expression? It seems like a violation of the first amendment. But I don't understand why it only makes it so that companies need to *disclose* if they used copyrighted works to train their AI, and why it doesn't instead just make it illegal to train AI with copyrighted works! Its just saying that you need to tell people that you're stealing form them does nothing to help the situation? Artists and writers who have their work, voice or face stolen can only watch it happen. Especially if they haven't the time or money to go after those stealing from them.
