These Indian Constitution FACTS WILL SHOCK YOU!! Journey Of Making The Constitution
This episode teaches about India’s independence and the Constitution that shaped India. We talk about the Indian Constitution, which is the longest and most amended in the world. Even though India became independent in 1947, it still followed British laws until 1950, when the Constitution was fully adopted.
Further into the episode we also talk about how the Constitution was made, who helped write it, and the big debates that happened, like whether India’s government should be more like Gandhi’s village-based ideas or Nehru’s vision of modern cities. One of the most educational videos I have come across recently. One question for the expert. I am basically from India but currently an US citizen . US Constitution 6th amendment gives right to Speedy Trial. Do we have similar right in India ? Also ,The Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments of the United States Constitution protect the presumption of innocence. Do we have similar Guarantee in Indian Constitution ? If yes then why there are 100s of people in the Jail indefinitely without having a day in the court and also why the cases get dragged for decades.

    • @J.ThalapathySriram
      @J.ThalapathySriram 12 часов назад

      The answer to both your questions is yes. The answer to why so many people are in jail it's because the constitution is just words on paper unless it's worked upon.

      @arup.p Not sure what you smoke. That he challenges your dogma doesn't mean he's bogus. His arguments are based on facts and historical context. Even though This video sheds light on some lesser known facts about the constitution, it ignores the myopic and west centric approach of the constitution makers (which is fine given there's not enough research or literature yet from that standpoint). That's why I'll re-watch it a few years later with more informed viewpoint

      You are providing some serious knowledge and thank you for that. But let me also point out that the unfounded belief that the parliamentary system was adopted from the British is nothing but parroting the widely propagated myth. There are many examples about parliamentary democracy practiced in India. One of them is the Cholas. There are 'n' number of inscriptions readily available as to how elections are done and the eligibility of the candidates to contest for. I would say, this blind belief that anything that is supposed to be good cannot be made or practiced in India should go..

    Request you to research on this way. i dont already done or not but. i think basically 3 major human races White Race (European ) , Black Race (African) and Asian Race ( East Asia - chineese korean etc) . Rest of the world population evolved as per the migration. if u see all asians look same and white ppl look same and so do Africans.. African first reached and settled near indus river later the european genetic ppl u like persian iranian aryan reached thr and they started dominating .. slowly these africans (Dravidians)moved towards south india ( by then they were mixed with european race,. ) and then those european race populated in north india and africans races settle south india.. RAMAYANA is all about European Race (RAMA) vs Dravidians (African race- Ravana)

    You got few things wrong. I am a Malayali. 1.Kozihikode is a malayalam/Kerala place name, Tamil people can’t say it. 2.The way you pronounced Tamil is only pronounced by Malayalis with ഴ. Tamil people don’t have ഴ now in current form of Tamil . They only have ള in current language. So they pronounce Tamil as തമിള്ള്. Current Malayalam has two parental languages, Tamil and Sanskrit- the proto Malayalam was called Manipravalam. It has all the sounds of Tamil and Sanskrit. Formed by mixing of proto Tamil language of native people with Sanskrit language of migrants from North. So we have മഴ, മരം, വാഴ, പഴം, പവിഴം from protoTamil and varsham and virksham from Sanskrit . Our alphabet sounds and their numbers are closer to Sanskrit than Tamil.
