I came to one of your previous video, while searching for other video and after watching one of the episode I went to all of the available videos on your channel. Your work is quite amazing, Although I have read most of the books but the way your conversations are headed it's truly entertaining. The way you explains some of the concepts using indigenious stories is quite amazing. Kudos to your team. Keep it up.
[Baloo or Bagherra](ruclips.net/video/Zj4IlAtCwok/видео.htmlsi=2xgwVlWm0eJcmhxU) thanks for the interview. I think it is/can be both at the same as well. One good example is my mother in law when it comes to cook. She is an excellent cook. She learnt cooking from her mom and has perfected it over thousands of hours in last 45 years or so. She is definitely “exploiting” her expertise every day and doesn’t need to do much exploration when it comes to day to day cooking. However when she encounters a new recipe, she is quick to know more about the recipe and most often makes it a small batch. Being an expert helps her to be a good explorer when it comes to the new recipe as wells. I think her approach is a good heuristic. I am also reminded of Pandit Bhimsen Joshi who sang famous ragas in his performances. However he was all for Riyaz and exploration in his learning sessions and private mehfils.

The 37% figure comes into play only if there is a condition that stipulates that you must meet as many suitors as possible. Here, the 37% is more of a minimum mark - as in, don't decide before you meet 37% of your suitors. Look up Optimal Stopping Theory for more details... That said, if you find that you click with the very first person you meet, by all means go for it! However, meeting 37% of your suitors will give you a mathematical assurance that you chose the best in the shortest time possible and thus help you avoid potential regret that you may have missed out on someone better. #ShaadiKaLaddoo :) - Shrikant
This is mathematical calculation if you are unaware of what's coming your way. Its probabilistic.. gives you best chance not guarantee. Marriage was just an example. Anyways in real life you can sometimes go back to earlier choices, also marriage is not just one way decision, so this algo may not be best fit for this problem. Based on your life experience if you found someone good.. go for it, don't just reject for sake of algorithm 😅 Also sometimes number of choices are not fixed..so deciding 37% could be tough. Exploring would give you better chance of higher reward.

You keep our interests continuing like the example of marriage 😅 thanks for the session.
Interesting points. But i dont agree with the marriage strategy to reject the 1st 37% options.
it's Mathematical result....

@grapeshott ok, but i dont think it makes sense, at least to me.
