[TAS] Spelunky 2 - Seeded Duat% in 1:49.450
After optimizing the No Gold TAS, I wanted to make a Duat TAS using a niche mechanic. I got it to Hundun and did not TAS that final level at the time. That was over three months ago.
The niche mechanic that powers this route is that Hired Hands can steal shop items. If they steal a back item (and do not get shot instantly), they will keep on holding it and can even carry it across levels! This allows bringing a Telepack into Duat. In City of Gold, the Hired Hand somehow gets hit by and drops the Telepack when I get sacrificed, but the Telepack still gets brought into Duat fine.

Does Showstopper work on Whacka on Pit of 100 Trials?
No. Thinking about this made me go back to floor 100 just to test if failed Showstopper makes a bump, and it does. Fright Mask doesn't make a bump though.

I used showstopper for the first time against Prince Mush and got insanely surprised that he was one shot like that. Immediately had to come here and confirm I just got super lucky because no way it would’ve been balanced otherwise lol.
Dunno if this or bodying him with a charged up Yoshi is more humiliating, but this IS amusing.
I only knew of the Bowser fight in the Palace of Shadows having a Showstopper chance, never knew it was the same for Mush too.
Its actually easier with mush (5% with perfect action command) then with bowser and kammy (2% each). You can also showstopper dark bones (85%), gus (50%) atomic boo (also 5%) and gloomtail (a measley 1%). Any other bosses are immunr as far as i know (including red bones strangley enough)
bowser and kammy have a 5% chance, not sure where you got 2% from.

Oh wow I did not know Showstopper even had a chance to take out a boss like Prince Mush. But yeah, not very reliable since the odds of it actually working are pretty low.

When I was doing the Pit Of 100 Trials, I used Showstopper on a group of 5 elite wizzerds, and it didn’t stop the show! I even nailed the action commands, but it could be that its description says it just “has a chance” of instakilling everyone.
Floor 90 pit enemies, Elite Wizzerd included, are some of the most resistant enemies to Showstopper, all having a 20% chance to fall. The only normal enemies more resistant are Amazy Dayzee, X-Yux, Boo, and Dark Boo, all having a 10% chance to fall.
@@Spencer_PK I also tried it on Prince Mush like you did here several times, but to no avail. So I came up with a different strategy: Charge several times, using Koops to make shields, and Bobbery as a tank so Koops doesn’t faint. I have a feeling that Mush has a 1% chance to fall from Showstopper.
