I always have a fun time watching the game awards. This years I thought was pretty nice, some neat and unexpected reveals. Pretty happy with the awards given. Also man, just seeing the thumbnail that be so funny if the actor of Sheldon gets put in a game and he comes on as a special guest, probably never happen but I now have that thought stuck in my head. XD

The mid-level cutscenes are really cool. …the *first* time you see them. But the more I replay the levels, the less I like them. Folks wanna complain about automation in Sonic games; how about going through a 3-second second loop, but instead of a 3-second loop, it’s *40 seconds of cutscene you can’t skip?!*

I've seen some SXS fans speculate that it's gonna get a year's worth of updates like Frontiers did. Can't say I share their optimism.

The level is just so boring. You can’t even use the doom powers and the minute long cutscenes take an eternity, I wish there was a mode that auto skipped QTE’s and mid level cutscenes. Also the level design isn’t all too interesting.

It just makes me so frustrated thinking about this DLC. It has so much flair and effort, and yet it must have been in production at the same time as Shadow Gens. Yellow circles letting you know where explosions are dropping, the Shadow '05 G.U.N. Soldier model (despite it supposedly taking place in the movie world), the Westopolis remix... there is no UNIVERSE in which this wasn't originally Westopolis, and it was pulled out and remade for this, let's call it what it is, marketing stunt. This DLC simply existing likely is the reason there is no Shadow level in Shadow Gens, maybe the budget and time went into getting Keanu involved with his legitimately terrible voice acting in this DLC (can't rate the movie since it's not out yet). Not only did they take time away from Shadow Gens by remaking OG Gens alongside it, now they've done this too. All the in-level cutscenes (that have no input and no stakes, making them honestly really annoying since you don't get to play the game in this 1 level DLC) are just effort that wasn't put into the main game. No Kingdom Valley cool cutscenes... ugh. It just makes me so frustrated. Also, I'll just toss this in here; I thought I remembered TSR having Final Fortress models in it, and yeah, it does. They had a bunch of modern resolution and quality models of Final Fortress ready to use and re-fit to the Metal Overlord fight, and they used Chemical Plant instead >:C

Yeah overall dlc is fine had a fun time but it’s too short (like the base game) Keanu as shadow is cool and it looks beautiful and I love the remix. Cutscene parts are once again well done. Is weird and disappointing there isn’t an act 2 at least. I too hope the next sonic racing game is good and is a big improvement from team sonic racing (I enjoyed but isn’t nearly as good) sonic all star transformed still the best one to me.

Ngl hearing him say he doesn’t care for the sonic movie and saying “yep it’s another sonic movie” even tho it genuinely looks super well done and from what we know so far and what people are saying about it etc, idk kinda sad since the movies are one of the biggest parts of sonic right now (plus most enjoyable in my and a lot of peoples opinion) I know he wasn’t a fan of movie 2 and obviously if the films aren’t his thing (cause of the direction it goes in or whatever) fair enough. I know it can be difficult to impress him especially with him being the nitpicker he is and too negative sometimes imo. If he changes his mind and watches I hope he enjoys it.

29:00 I both agree and disagree tbh I 100% agree that whenever the movies force the game characters & world into the background, they become solid, but ultimately bland, comedy movies that are really only propped up by the mostly decent writting and performances; Jim Carrey in particular carried the first movie *insanely hard* and he did quite a bit of heavy lifting for the 2nd one. But whenever the movies, you know, *actually give us what we came to see;* they're pretty damn good in my opinion. The kiddy humor and pop-culture references tho ABSOLUTELY bring them down by nearly whole point for me. The dance battle in the 2nd movie makes me *phisically ill* from the sheer *cringe* I have no trouble believing that all the issues with the movies are studio mandate tho. Its unfortunate, but it is obvious that, as the movies go on, Paramount seems to be giving the people working on them more and more creative control. Hence why this 3rd movie, based on apparent test screenings, is being praised as the best one by a country mile. I just hope that this translates into the 3rd movie taking itself WAY more seriously too. I'm fine with the tongue-and-cheek humor, but for the love of God no more kiddy humor and pop-culture references...

I wish you were able to play movie shadow as a skin but I understand since they would have to reanimate the cutscenes because of the model

If there is anything i wish they did with this dlc is that movie shadow should be playable in the main stages

I really hope this isn't the last of the DLC. Original Generations was an enormous missed opportunity and it would insane for them to NOT add more stages to this game...

To be fair, its difficult to know if Sonic Unleashed's frame rate is so choppy on PS3 because of the devs own fault or because the PS3 was , apparently, notoriously difficult to develop and optimise games for. The fact that every other version of the game runs totally fine makes me thing its the latter.

Rob I swear this stream captures everything I enjoy about watching your stuff. It's funny, entertaining and just a good time. I don't wanna be mushy but its nice to support a genuinely nice person that's so entertaining.

In this game, the blade isn't the only thing that's stellar, if you catch my drift...

Something nobody real talks about, most of the quick time events in this game mean nothing. The only one you can fail is the very first one on the Ark where it doesn't even kill you, Shadow just does a cheesy animation and teleports back. The ones on the boss fights will do the same animation whether you hit the button or not at all. There is no punishment for failing a QTE in the bosses so they mean absolutely nothing.

Not being able to run when pointing diagonals might mean your controller's joysticks have poor circularity. The dualsense has an especially poor history of that. Thankfully someone made a tool you can use to recalibrate your sticks. Some games just might not show it as they don't require full lock to show you as in a running state. Many have also noticed dualsense controllers aging incredibly fast so they started modifying them with hall effect sticks. Still the sticks will require a calibration after installing them. Either way if you want to check the circularity someone made a site that lets you check it. It's just called hardware tester gamepad tester. If when doing circularity test you see areas the joysticks don't cover the circle your calibration is off. Overshooting is fine, but not coving the circle means you can't get full movement in games that require it.
