B body Fury cars are sick, they are basically a Plymouth Roadrunner
It was a really fun car to drive! Thanks for watching!
I’m currently building a 2000 Sonoma with a 350 and turbo 400 what should I watch out for?
Mostly clearance... On the newer ones I'm not as sharp on the electrical but I know if your gonna retain the factory fuel tank the exhaust is gonna have to run down the passenger side..I have both pipes run down the passenger side then it branches back out to wide duals where the spare tire was... It's worth getting the V8 swap engine mounts for the block side... The frame side is usually a stock S10 2.8 V6 mount as long as they are the same mount style on the frame... Also the V8 swap headers are very worth it and cut way down on the drama of figuring out the exhaust... And a cheep 140 dollar aluminum radiator works great... Get the 3 core... They say they fit for S10 swap and C4 Corvette.... Hopefully this helps and thanks for watching!
I use atf to clean out an engine almost everytime.
I've used it for years... The next video I'm gonna try something new and see if it works better! so stay tuned and thanks for watching!
What a wasted video.
Dude just get the hell on it that's what everyone wants to see everybody knows about T Types and GNS
I did in a RUclips short from way back but as I was just borrowing it for the video and the turbo was starting to go bad on it... I was trying to be respectful of it but not turn down the chance to do a video on it...I appreciate you watching.. Thank you!
@Midnightautorepair I understand sorry for the comment.
I had that on both my 1984 and 1982 Cadillac Fleetwood Hearses.
Did you leave them functional or did you eventually have them bypassed? On a hearse I know they don't get a lot of mileage per year... Thanks for watching!
@Midnightautorepair thanks for asking. They were both already bypassed when I got them.
lucky no one got a black eye from the airbag going off at random
That had occurred to me too! For as bad as that thing was... Air bags could have deployed at any given time! Thanks for watching!
All good information, I’m currently looking at chevy’s in this era. Thanks so much
No problem at all.. Thanks for watching!
Btw, happy belated thanksgiving to you!
It's sad that all these cool ass shows are being canceled because of politics and self centered views
It's what happens when corporations don't understand their customers
@@Midnightautorepairthey’ll figure it out when they lose all of their customer base. We have them back on RUclips again too which is where I love to watch this content anyway.
Come on over to Whitley Auto Works your new favorite show! Tons of discovery happening at my shop! 🤣👍
That's not a bad idea at all! 🤔😎
ATF works good if you are willing to let it idle for hours or just adding 1-2 quarts and running 500 miles or so. BUTT adding a quart or 2 of diesel and letting it idle 15-30 mins will really dissolve a bunch of sludge. For really neglected cars, I will replace 2 quarts of oil with diesel, run it 30 min of idling then replace oil with fresh oil and 2 quarts of diesel and a fresh filter, again and run for 30 mins of idle. Now flush oil, replace with cheap oil and a new filter and run for 500-1000 miles and change oil/filter to a good one and go back to 3000 mile oil changes. If you use synthetic, it cleans a bit better and will slowly get the rest of the sludge out of the system. A slower way is to just drain all the oil, then fill with diesel as much as the engine will hold, disconnect the coils so it doesn't fire and crank it for 15-20 seconds, so the diesel gets pumped everywhere. Let it set for a few days, drain, replace with cheap oil/filter and run for 100-500 miles and then change to a good oil and filter. The diesel will have dissolved most of the sludge in the engine. If you just put 6 quarts or so in, it won't get the sludge under the valve covers very well. All old school tricks. You can program a new BCM in the vehicle with a $45 subscription to GM Subscription and a $140 VXDiag Nano. Uses wireless with your laptop. Tons of RUclips videos on doing it. You just need to know the RPO codes that your vehicle came with. If you want to add stuff like heated seats, once the wiring is in, you just need the RPO code for those and add that to the BCM coding. Works great for programming new keys/fobs too!
I've used diesel more than a few times but only in the worst of circumstances... My fear is the level of dilution can cause damage to bearings if not done carefully... Just like the ATF trick.... Has to be done with type F or a non synthetic dex/merc 3... It's strange but works better but yes it's much slower.. I'll do 2 quart's as a flush and if it's still not great run a quart a full 3k oil change and see if it helps... But in the case of the Silverado I'm gonna try the Valvoline restore and protect and see if it's really as good as they claim! And I'll have to check out that vxdiag nano... Sounds really cool to have around and thanks for watching!
Good to see ya Josh, nice truck.
Thank ya! And thanks for watching!
Wow. Things like that are why I do not spray water inside a car. Lol Glad you found it though!!!
It's kind of a dumb design where it's not covered up enough to be protected by the rubber floor bit not open enough to dry out because of the rubber floor... Thanks for watching!
Nice work bro!! Sad to see the Burgmann go but you made a good trade!!
I think he's gonna get more use out of the burgman in a month than I have in the last 2 years plus I need a full size truck so it fits the bill... The burgman went to a good home!
The Mechanic Magician does it again!
Took some work but I got it! Thanks for watching!
That is one nice looking truck
Thanks man.. Thanks for watching!
@@Midnightautorepair no problem! I love seeing steals and learning more about cars.
I would get the headgasket fixed soon
I think that van got scrapped a year ago lol
I see a lot of cleaning in that trucks future good vid bro tons of good info 😎👍
Maybe another good video to do a crossover 🤔
What year is the windstar

That's definitely a sweet portable work area. The color was nice as well. Thanks guys
Thanks for watching and I agree!
Get it running
Awesome video man much better when my face isn't covered hahaha 🤣😎👍 looking forward to the next one as always!
currently 265,000+ on my 2005 xB, in the northeast where the snow and salty winters are. manual transmission, *still on the original clutch*!
That's impressive!! A lot of highway miles? And thanks for watching!
@@Midnightautorepair not really. a few fairly long road trips but mostly just short commuting stuff and city/suburb driving.
@@frobzwiththingz that's really impressive!
I stuck a junkyard fresh 5.3 into a 94 S10. Only changed the parts I had to for the swap. Still has the old spark plugs in it. It's been my daily driver for about six months now. Only problem I had with it was the used water pump I put on it when I did the swap started leaking. Threw on another used pump and sent it.
Gotta love it when it just works... That's how mine feels too! Thanks for watching!
10:55 sounds good 11:39 sounds good x2 18:55 yea hard to find unrusted ones up north
Thanks for watching! It's still on the road btw!
@@Midnightautorepair 🔥 how many miles is it at? u should make an update video on it
It’s been a year! Part 2?
Been working at a part 2 so stay tuned and thanks for watching!
Really like both of your video's and sites! I am cutious if you can help answer..is there a clear base that would mix with rustoleum (quarts and gallon) that may tone down the pidment allowing to add flake in base coat then a pearl/clear mid coat then clear? Thanks for what you've taught me so far. 😊
John would probably have more info on additives to Rust-Oleum... But I know they only have a few levels of metallic.. When we did the blue I picked the chrome as I thought would be the most reflective to help with the blue effect but you could always use the regular metallic to tone it down a bit as well the big problem is that Rust-Oleum has a pretty high solids content to it and would need diluted a lot to be transparent enough to add pearls or metallics to... It's been easier to use a midcoat like we did in the video or in the clear like John has done in his videos... Both are better options than modifying the Rust-Oleum itself and no problem on the lesson... I'm always happy to help!... Thanks for watching!
@Midnightautorepair Hey, appreciate the feed back. Keep up doing what you're doing!
ruclips.net/video/uXRZs5buRtU/видео.htmlsi=f_K-4hJn8wM7ZUnT That's the link to John's video if ya wanna check it out!
Great video man! love the idea
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching!
Those are '63 two bar spinner caps - should clean up nicely. Watch for wasps in the front door jambs too !!
Lol the wasps under the hood were pretty angry for sure! Thanks for watching!
Thank you for sharing this one
My pleasure... Thanks for watching!
That looks amazing, I chose a white primer sealer in hopes that my blue comes out a little brighter
It should help with the brightness but it May lack a lot of the effect without the reflective surface below it
@@Midnightautorepair okay, now it makes perfect sense… so I should get a bright silver to spray after the sealer and before the blue… so much to learn!
I do really like the way this turned out. Would love to see a kandy apple red, or maybe kandy apple green, over gold 😁
I'm working on some good candies for some future videos so stay tuned!
I really like the idea of the candy apple green!😊
So is this gonna be the future color of the s10??
I've got a good black and blue planned for the S10 when I get time! Lol

Octubre V8 View And 1 Year Build Swap Update Custom S10
My brother bought an 88 s10 2.5 5 speed new in October 88. He had always planned on doing a 327 swap but ended up trading it off for a big block 3/4 ton 4wd square body instead.. I’ve always loved these trucks.. glad I found your channel, gave me something to watch while I’m down with the VID..
I dunno if this has the limited slip rear, but a lot of Astro vans have 3.73 limited slips in them, so if ya see one in a bone yard, it’s worth checking out
It's an open diff in it... Problem with the Astros are they have the 8.5 inch 10 bolt instead of the 7.5 they put in 2wd S10s... I'm impressed it's held up this long under my right foot! I'm glad ya found my channel too and hopefully you get better from the vid soon!
Good times my man can't wait to try those other colors we're working on 😎👍🤫👀
I can't wait... We have some fun stuff coming up!
@@Midnightautorepair yes sir

That could possibly be the dumbest thing gm ever did for motor mounts🤦♂️
Pretty much! Lol
Good choice ditching the rare but boat anchorous Isuzu motor
I originally was gonna fix it but when it needed pulled out was hard to pull 80 HP out and justifying putting 80 HP back in lol... Thanks for watching!
