    The Fury 2 doors of that vintage are extremely rare nowadays. They didn't make a ton of them when they were new(since the 4 doors were so popular with fleet services) that it's nice to see an original one still running an driving. Personally i would restore that car back to it's original glory and give it a good home. I personally love the looks of the 2 door Fury's of that generation and they deserve more respect than they get to be honest. Compared to today's junk rolling out of the assembly plants, any decent Mopar enthusiast would be proud to own that car.

      I would have to agree! Maybe someday the owner will let it go... Bit till then I promise it's in a good home! Thanks for watching!

    The 400 is a big block it's just a B series big block same as the 383 but it's big block 100% Mopar never made a small block with the distributor in the front of the engine. Chrysler made two kinds of big blocks the B series and the RB series. The RB or Raised Block is a 440 or the Hemi the B series is the 361,383,400 and they made a bunch more but that was back in the 50's

    Nice survivor. Very rare as a 2 door! Chrysler had been selling Satellites with its unique body up until 1974 - they sold well. My uncle had two of them - sales tanked after the re-design (Charger too) and of course the Satellite name was dropped in favor of the Fury. I often wonder and ask why they made that change or why they did not give the Satellite or its successor a unique body -- same with Charger. I know the Monaco and Fury sedans sold fairly well as police units. I think the Cordoba was the sales jewel - my uncle had one too.

      They really are fun cars and didn't deserve the malaise era crap they caught....I know back then that Chrysler was trying to share there platform across as many marques as they could to save money.... But they were still built so close to the muscle cars that came before them that any one of them would have been just a comfortable with a 383 commando or a 440 out on the street as the cars before them...I get what they were trying to do by renaming them to make them feel more modern... But I'm happy they came to be as they were! Thanks for watching!

    Love this car! I was always a Mopar fan and still love the 70's Mopars. These Furys were built like tanks to be police cars and handle like them. I had a friend wish a Cordoba and another one with the Dodge Magnum. They were really good cars.

    Man is that car clean and so cool I love the color of it and love the 1975 body style. I hope you take care of that thing because it is one clean car and keep a eye on the vinyl top and that it's not rotting under it if it does your better off ripping it off because it will rot the whole roof out or at lest the part that is covered with it. What a great car you have there for sure.

      @Midnightautorepair  Год назад

      I'm impressed with how clean and original it is too and i remember the roadrunner version of it...its part of a private collection and usually is stored indoors and i was fortunate enough to do a video on it...and i wasnt sure on the engine being a big block or not...im usually a GM guy and usually 400ci is the tipping point between big and small block so i appreciate you filling in the info on that thank you! and thanks for watching!

    She’s a fairly well equipped Fury. The 400 was a big option and also the smaller Big block option. 360 was the biggest small block. My dad had a 77 Fury wagon that was loaded with a 360 ( a former Chrysler lease car and Chrysler commuter car). Tough car, I beat the hell out of it

    • @Midnightautorepair
      @Midnightautorepair  4 месяца назад

      They were really tough cars! It's why Mopar was a very popular Police vehicle at that time! Thanks for watching!

    Much like the '76 Cordobas I had, also with the 400 and NO 'lean burn' early computers. Fun ride, really did haul ass. In luxury too. Surprised the paint is that good on yours. Nice find!

    I had one. Great car, just make sure to avoid rust/repair it. I would still have it today if it hadn't been totaled in accident (not my fault...head on at speed and I and the drivetrain were both OK)

      @Midnightautorepair  3 месяца назад

      They are really cool cars and technically some of the last of the muscle car platforms before everything went to front when drive! And glad you made it out of the accident safely! Thanks for watching!

    HO wow this one is so well preserved, it makes me dream. I' m starting some bodywork on my very beat up 4 doors one. I have one or 2 vidéos of it on my channel.

    • @Midnightautorepair
      @Midnightautorepair  8 месяцев назад

      I'll have to swing over to your channel and check it out... Anytime I see a 4 door Coronet or fury all I can think of is the police cars from dukes of hazard! Very cool cars and this one came out of a vehicle hoarder collection when the previous owner passed away and he had cars in garages and pole barns hidden all over that most were southern low mileage cars and this one was saved and brought into it's current collection! Thanks for watching!

      @@Midnightautorepair Haha yeah, this car ( body type ) was featured in so many tv show and movies that I was watching as a child, it left a big mark in me I guess ( espacialy this rear bumper with large trapezoidal lights and licence plate / gas door access, and this slanted rear face, the overall insectoid look of the rear, and that low and wide window. Ok everything !
      Ho yeah yours has a nice story I see ^^. Seeing this monstruous collection might have been something.
      Glad another one could be saved :).
      You're welcome ;) . Cya later .

      @Midnightautorepair  Год назад +1

      i wasnt quite sure on if it was a big block or a small block...im more of a GM guy and 400 is the tipping point between big and small for them lol and its a great car and as close to new as it gets! a good 440 in it would make it a heck of a machine...thanks for watching!

    • @79tazman
      @79tazman Год назад +1

      yeah the 400 is a B series big block the 440 is a RB big block the 400 and the 383 are the same family but the 400 is a great engine it has the biggest bore even bigger then the 440. They make great strokers with the 440 crank

    Older cars could fool you pretty easy because once they hit 99,999.9 it went back to 0. Miles but yes looks great for the year. The 400 here was the last of the better 400's the 76& on till about 78' ran a 400 electronic lean burn which was a problem car. I had a 77' dodge charger SE 400/ 4bbp with 185hp and was a very slow ride. Was triple green green body green landau vinyl top and plus green bucket cloth. 15" heavy gauge wire covers and glued in taillights 😂. I got about 12mpg power everything. Paid $1800 in 1986'.and no I wouldn't want another one.

      Actually when it was first added to the collection it had originally had a tree fall on the roof and it was fixed.... It's got a bit of charisma but it's still a very original car... Thanks for watching!
