The Serbs occupying parts of Croatia were well armed but they broke and ran after their first line of defence was breached.

One more thing. Just before the war, Serbs pulled 90% of JNA wepons from bases stationed in Croatia. It's easy to fight bare handed civilians. So much about so called "serbian breavery". There are also reports of Serb tanks running over their own collum that was fleeing to BiH.
