Old Creepy Dinosaur Art
Просмотров 35 тыс.Год назад
creepy, strange, weird, spooky and scary. Thats how i would describe these old dinosaur depictions. Some vintage Paleo Art is funny, no 2 ways about it. But its also beautiful and historic; an artistic memory of how far paleontology has come. These pieces represent our understanding of dinosaurs at the time. And sure, they look silly now... but they were once considered to be highly scientific ...

Apparently, their range also went up to Papua New Guinea so there could be some up there hidden
Guys this is not a crocodilian it's crocodilmorph they have include this and one more thing this guy is smaller than other to competitors he is 31 ft but the major two are 36 ft which Purrusauru and Deinosuchus
I wonder how many people found a dinosaur bone or tooth and paraded it around to convince people they killed a dragon 😂
I've only ever seen long necks as cute, gentle giants.. making their legs out to the sides makes them look like a Dark Souls boss that needs to be slain 😂
Weird Fact: With the new Shorts update, this video length could be made a short.
We'll information good 😅😅
Isnt lioplurodon like the size of a great white
In the future when we can successfully regrow dinosours from DNA we will look back at the early 2000s and laugh at our bizzar ideas, just as we now laugh at these outdated images
driptosours dripin
That iguana at 1:50 looking like it’s about to ask you to hand over your wallet lmao
Aren't megalodon sharks heavier in terms of mass?
Even if sarcosuchus wasn't an actual crocodile, a species closely related to crocodile, it was still an impressive and powerful predator.
At 0:42, dimetrodon isn't a pterosaur, you know? You probably were going for dimorphodon.
Do the Kentrosaurus still have plates or use thermo-regulation in anyway?
Adding this to the list of awesome facts
Oh yes!!! I just got to this part in my current reading book, “Locked in Time” by Dean R Lomax. It’s amazing!
There’s a pliosaur at my local museum called Dorris.
I’m sorry pink iggy is brilliant!
Nah bob has to be said like mr bean. Also is than an Ark reference?
Sarco wasn't actually a real croc bc just as someone who already explained it is a crocodylamorph
This stuff reminds me of old Japaneese kaiju movies, 1998 Godzilla tv series, Cloverfield and a bit of first Pacific rim movie. I think that this type of old paleoart was an ispiration for these.
I'm suggesting Megaraptorans flesh grazed from giant sauropods using it's hand claws rather than actually try to kill it.
Haven't heard about these dinosaurs before! Thanks for making this video.
7:40 I think you said that wrong
Who else was bought here by fisch on roblox
7:32 ATOMIC BREATH 😭😭
40 feet is long outdated and is actually roughly 31 feet in length! It’s also not a crocodile but instead a pholidosauridae or a crocodylamorph, a distant relative of crocodiles
Cope's Elasmosaurus had its head put on the end of the tail. Marsh pointed that out and rumor had it that that's how their rivalry began.
This dinosaur has the a two letter name
the biggest bony fish that ever lived isnt Leedsichtyhs. The bluewhale (an marine mamal --> a tetrapod --> a bony fish --> a fish) is bigger
I like how Stegosaurus is still Stegosaurus
It still has a modern descendant during these times which is the 'Indian Gharial.'
There's some charm to old paleoart, no matter how inaccurate it is. I have to remind myself that these paleoartists were just working with what knowledge they had at the time.
Interesting, but watching with my 5 yr old who loves dinosaurs, I found the swearing entirely unnecessary. It adds nothing and detracts from an otherwise great video. Never thought I'd be that guy, but there it is. 😅
Purasaurus/deinosuchus are both larger than sarcosuchus, so i wouldn't say both are rivals to the this crocodylomorph.
I love old Paleo art-the dinosaurs have a mythical almost Dungeons and Dragon's vibe to them. Let’s also remember cinema’s biggest movie monster star Godzilla/Gojira has that old Paleo dinosaur look to him that has endured for decades with that standing upright tail dragging stance and the Stegosaur/Tyrannosaur hybrid look.
i got two words for you >image search >google
Dinocrocuta means terrible hyena, not terrible jackal.
This is really well made and interesting! Love the video
That happens to Gigantopithecus there was one small species called Gigantpithecus Seki it was the first to discover what this ape doesn’t even exist but if do existed it must’ve been roaming around Asia
Yep, you like this species didn’t even exist or did they existed?
POV: youre becoming a webfishing loremaster
real
Terrifying! I would love to have that skull mount.
Omniverse okay but it probably ate a lot of carrion.... What do you need such a long legs for but the ability to jog vast distances? Look at that skull its olfactory receptors are Huge... What about Polar bears not being violent, they'll eat you alive just like Kodiak... You're ignorant, ask indigenous people about it.. As it happens it turns out that indigenous Americans actually immigrated alongside the ice sheets because of kayaks, whales live there and 😅 food like seals procreate there... What wave of human immigration do you want to talk about? Kodiak have larger recorded size examples than Polar bears but that's a few exceptions. Thanks
finally a short that isn't about misinformation and had actually researched before posting it on shorts and teach people some stuff, except sarco can't do a death roll but still a great video tho.
Hiya, really nice video and even more props for sharing one of my best mate's work too. May I ask is it possible please to link all the instagrams of whoever has one from this video please? thx for sharing
Very well produced video. I thought you had like a million subs.
THE BLOOP!!!!!!!
Humans didn't originate in africa, it was southwest asia according to the bible what the rest of the world misleadingly refers to as middle east which would ready be located in the middle of the indian ocean.
“Look at this weird theropod!” Posts Waterhouse Hawkins Hadrosaurus. For real though it was a weird and wild era with so little to go on, it’s fun to look back at these old art pieces. Fun little video!
Finally, they mention this non-sauropod hadrosaur that would possibly surpass any theropod today, including the t rex
