The misuse of this phrase can spiral out of control and cause major fitna and many have either used it incorrectly or thought that Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahab (and salafis/wahabis) did takfeer of anyone who didn’t agree with him in his takfeer.

why on earth would you sing the quran?
Assalamualaikum Brother Daud, I am a high school student from Indonesia and I am impressed by your knowledge and wisdom in Arabic, I am truly jealous of you brother. May I ask a question regarding tafsir? I know that some hadiths in jami'ul bayaan by At-Tabari RA and tafsir quranul adzhim by Ibn Kathir RA are dhaa'if and so i would be very happy if you can suggest to me some trustworthy tahqiq for both of these great works that have a focus on authenticating isnads, I am aware of the tahqiq by عبد الله بن عبد المحسن التركي for At Tabari's tafsir but he did not delve deep in analyzing isnads and was not direct enough for me in authentication.
Tafseer Atabari has a new print by دار ابن الجوزي that goes deeper into that. It’s nice but pricy. Also for tafseer ibn Kathir Lastly note that there is a reason that weak Hadiths are used as they play major roles in areas other than establishing fiqh rulings and the authors oftentimes are well aware of the grade of the Hadiths but in areas other than establishing rulings they are used and appropriate to take the position of what many people have where they think the book would be better off if these were erased. Learning how and why they are used is important for a student of knowledge. And of course narrating them to the public should be avoided as most don’t understand the difference and could use it improperly.

I don't think you can find tafseer Sa'd with harakah?
Can we say Subhanarabil ala in sajda 1 time instead of 3 and Subhanarabil azeem in ruku 1 time instead of 3? Salah will be valid according to Shafi'i fiqh?
Yea, 3xs is the least amount of this sunnah but the Salah Is valid regardless, but it’s best to do at least one to leave the khilaf as some say it’s wajib outside of the madhhab. But of course I don’t ever recommend someone getting into the habit of doing the least bit necessary to get by. If someone needs it for emergency or something urgent, ok they know what’s the least amount to do the Salah properly, but Salah is the connection between the worshipper and Allah so having humility and respect for Allah in salat is the point and the place of reward, so if someone is going to pray and take 2-3 minutes to just do what’s the least necessary, why not take a little bit more and get a vast reward. Allah repays back everyone who gives something for his sake.
@@DaudBurke i have 15 years of Qaza-e-umri pending and I have cervical problem so i can't stay in sajda for long, this is why I am asking
Don’t hurt yourself, if something is causing unbearable pain than do what you can, and don’t torture yourself. A little pain is expected, but serious pain should be avoided and is a cause for ease such as just sitting and moving partially instead. Of course only you know what level you are at and that’s between you and Allah.
@@DaudBurke I am just 26 years old and when I start i pray each Salahs 5 times which means 25 salahs and 85 rakats and very next day I woke up with cramps 🤣🤣 it took 4-5 days to heal as I don't have habit of running.... I think i should reduce and increase according to my capacity... I fear if I will die I will face azaab because of pending salahs
@@DaudBurke pain is not unbearable just little pain and stiffness but only if I stay in sajda for long, not that much if I put pressure to hand and even less or not at all when I do it for 1-2 seconds and only 1 tasbeeh only this is why I was asking if salah will be valid if I say Subhanarabil ala once only
How to fill online forms? Can't get enough information 😞.

Asalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa baraktuhu brother. Do you know Shafi athari teachers in Egypt?
wa Aliekom Salam waRahmatullahi waBarakatuh Yes. الشيخ وليد البري and also الشيخ أحمد رشدي there are more of course but these are the ones I know
@@DaudBurke Great. Do they teach al Baghawi's works for example or ibn al Rifah's fiqh works and preferences, or even ibn al Muqri? Or do they teach only the standard curricula?
These are books for reading on one’s own once one has finishing minhaj and they aren’t the place to start as you start with baby steps and then after minhaj you can read for yourself and should be able to understand the madhhab in general.

MashaAllah,, nice explanation

@@DaudBurke are Hadith on the same level as Quran when it comes to authenticity
Few reach this level, and the Quran is at this level in its detailed wording, and for Hadith maybe a meaning reaches us at this level of mutawaatir. See the next couple lessons for an explanation of mutawaatir

Didn't know you where a Wahabi
I’m a shafi’i Sunni Muslim that holds the aqeedah of ahlu al-hadeeth like my imam ashaafi’. If I’m considered a wahabi, no problem, the name is good, and the person connected to the term was an imam in defending the sunnah from shirk and bida’ I don’t agree with all of his decisions of course but admire him and his dawah.
You know, I asked a madkhali what he thinks about music concerts and film festivals. He said, well, before they used to have these parties, but they were underground. At least now they are organized by the government, so at least it's regulated. There will be less haram. GG madkhalia.
Government regulation is endorsement. And the sad thing is the amount of kufr packed into the songs of the music industry and it’s basically a platform for spreading kufr sugarcoated with lust and carnal desires.
@@DaudBurkeof course brother, government regulation is endorsement. That is the thing they don’t understand. We know Zina happens underground or in private, so basically let’s regulate it by making brothels so there is less haram. That is their logic. It is sad how blind they have become.
@@DaudBurke I mean, I just asked one of them what he thinks about the bikini competitions. It's a madkhali called Wajdi Akkari. As usual, his main responses at first were 'its all lies', then he changed to 'its happening far away in the corner of KSA' and then 'leaders don't know about it'. When I then explained that nothing happens in KSA, and these types of countries that the leaders are not aware of, or the leaders have not pushed for it or approved it, he then said 'I don't debate with people of desires' and then he deleted all my comments from his channel. GG
akhi may i ask are you an azhari student in egypt?
Yes
Barakallahu feek Ustadh Daud, very well addressed, especially with the references on screen. Really admire the way you approach issues like this. One thing I am curious in your journey towards coming to Islam is was there anything that you were not aware of before reverting and then came to Islam and found out about and were maybe shocked by or found uncomfortable? Perhaps even something that played a role in your conversion that turned out to be false or misrepresented? Things like the obligation of jihad under a khalifah, apostasy laws, rulings regarding dealing with non-muslims in dar al-harb or warfare, rights of women etc. If so how did you deal with it or overcome it?
In order to wrap your head around any concept, in light of your question it requires a few things to clear the path ways of biases and the impairments to objectivity. Firstly, removing ethnocentric biases we all hold naturally being subjects of particular times and spaces. We all have preconceived notions based on our culture and our current familiarity which shapes our opinions that directly effect our judgments and fuel our chauvinisms. Secondly, we must all understand that the world arrangement we know today of the nation states ,is a recent construct since the end of WWI 1917 .The idea of nationalities and national borders were unheard of until the 20th century, rather an empire was only defined by what it could militarily defend and expand. Thirdly, you must see the world in clear view of Imperialism and Colonialism in Modernity as an ubiquitous entity with historical implications from its Predecessors of Feudalism and the Theocentric world which has transitioned into a Homocentric world (God centered ideology into a Human centered ideology)Fourthly, we must understand Universal Human and Numinous nature of Man to worship his Creator by way of religiosity. And we must also recognize the intellectual prowess of Man to reason and philosopize to the developments of science. However, the most challenging question for Man is , what is the true ethos ? Meaning what is the most authentic and credible source of guidance and truth? The Philosophers The Scientists? Or the Prophets? These are the presupposed questions and answers of sound Islam and Iman. How can Man be free from being in servitude to everything except Allah? Work from that premise.
I have a video response coming shortly inSha’Allahu
