Where are the Whatnot sellers getting their stock to sell items for £1 or £2?, this blew me away when I started buying on the platform two months ago.

Hiya Julie. As you know, I love your shows and I will miss them,, but I think you are right in that it is no longer worth your time selling on Whatnot. There seem to be a lot more shows on there now compared to when it first opened up to more categories so unless you are very niche or have a LOT of followers then you won't get much for your items.

I often wonder how do people make a decent living reselling online. I've had a pair of French Connection joggers in good condition for sale for like 2-3 months for £11 and still no hits.

Ooh...I wanted to ask you...what isthe biggest error you have made? As in - have you ever sold something way too cheap or not bought something that you realised afterwards was worth a lot of money? Mine is a genuine 1980's Rolling Stones T shirt from a concert I went to see them at in Roundhay Park in Leeds. I bought the shirt for about £25 which was a lot then. I sold it on EBay for £180 in about 30 seconds of my listing it...I then realised I could have got about double for it!!! Grrrrrrr!!!!

I am a reseller (on a tiny scale) but only because I am still decluttering my house. I have ALL my EBay selling stuff limited to one room otherwise I could not cope!! You know what I see, a woman that is trying everything she can to make money and have a successful business and I think that's wonderful, so what if it's a bit messy and stuff all over, my house is the same, that's reselling. You WILL get it organised in the end I have no doubts about that. Try your best to have even a half hour to yourself or you will wear yourself down my darlin. Xxx❤❤

hi julie ive bookmarked your next whatnot show, its a real struggle. i feel everyone knows it is what it is on whatnot but most people only want £1 starts and even at that alot doesnt sell. vinted is good if you have new with tags, but you get alot of messages about sizes, more pics,how old ect😂. tilt seems ok but i heard you pay shipping not the customer🤦any way were hustlers well get there 👍🩷

Thats very interesting Julie, as whatnot told me they are not using royal mail for channel islands so we have to stay as international post of £11 and unable to enter uk giveaways, however they did say we were welcome to enter international giveaways, umm , not helpful, so its interesting they are using RM for some? They are hoping to change this going forwards,so we will see.

i had to have two weeks off whatnot last show was a nightmare, worked out i lost 30 pounds for day half work, i relisted everything on vinted and had sales coming out my ears for twice as much, whatnot is for cards , cloths just dont get enough money if your selling quality

p.s vinted a nightmare amount of stuff removed for silly reasons , best thing to do i think is do your whatnots with link to a website where buyers can buy from your own site not owned by ebay, facebook vinted so you have control, what i mean is dont talk about website but have banner in background its allowed

your house looks like mine, im glad i stopped doing ebay as stock grew quicker than i would sell,, not good for your mental health all the mess, thankfully i bought a storage unit for bottom of garden and getting house back slowly, also i know you do whatnot i hope you have a business partner as im sure they will help you with certain costs .

Evri don't support Vinted now in N.Ireland. barely get any sales now as i can only use royal mail. There should be a yodel about 5 miles away but I cant find it.

Hi, did you ask the whatnot buyer about the low feedback? A seller I regularly buy from had same issue. I always give 5⭐️ but one time I missed a step and somehow it went to a page with further info for feedback and somehow it affected giving 5 stars. Hope it makes sense. Confirm with buyer first then reach out to Whatnot.

Hi Julie , vinted options of postage have now returned. But now the app is down , vinted are making updates. So god knows what they are doing . Watch this space 😂

Julie I am watching Shelley (Shellsterooney) and she said that so many people complained to Vinted about the postage choices that they have re-instated a seller's choice to choose the options for delivery so at least they listened!

Glad you mentioned vinted postage, I thought it was me! I checked today and choices have returned 😊

I was watching bbc breakfast around 5.30 6.30 am this morning and out of the corner of my eye they were on about vinted, this must have been it.. I only Send via royal mail..Ive always put this in my description & never had an issue. "Please Choose Royal Mail Standard 2nd class at Checkout." Hopefully they all read it..Give it a try
