What can I do to bring down my sugar levels before breakfast. All other readings are fine during the day. The fasting level is usually between 5.4 and 5.9
I’ve got the same problem. Did you manage to resolve yours just with diet?
These are usually related to pregnancy hormones and not food unless you've eaten during the night :) (I'm a student dietetian)
Thank you for your video. My daughter is 32 weeks pregnant and is waiting the results of a glucose test. She lives in Havering, if she does have GD will she be referred to a dietician? She is vegetarian. As pulses have both protein and carbohydrate in them would it be best to have something like a small portion of home made bean and vegetable stew with lots of side vegetables but no additional carbs like brown rice? Also would plain greek yogurt with apple or berries or seeded bread with avocado or hummus be ok for breakfast? Also would a small portion of quinoa & chickpeas with hummus and salad be ok for lunch?

Yes, thats right. It's 1 time before breakfast and 1 hour after each meal .

yes, we would recommend this video as well for people who might have blood sugar levels above the normal range, but not high enough to be diagnosed as having diabetes.
