Things this video doesn’t clear up, it is 100% legal federally in the US, however some state laws does make it illegal, and state laws take priority over federal on state owned property. So yes you can be arrested and charge for illegal collection or natural resources, this has been a few times already and recently a person was arrested and charged a significant amount of money in fines for his natural rainwater pond. The state actually sealed up his pond with concrete, which they added the cost of it to his fine. Please read over your local state and city laws, you will be surprised.

Nice video, more needs to be done about the water shortage. The problem being affluent house developments with landscapes like you would find in the midwest or east coast. The fact that there are a ton of golf courses in las vegas and in other desert cities and states. Grass doesn't grown here naturally and people are wasting a ton of water to have it. A bill needs to be passed to ban grass landscapes and all golf courses. No reason for these out in the desert.
