    Actually, rain water can be even more polluted than the ground water. If you look at certain industrial centers, and look at the pollutants they vent into the air. Those pollutants mix with the moisture in the air and pollute the water in the rain.

    • @asandax6
      @asandax6 Год назад +4

      You sre already breathing in all those pollutants so rain water is as clean as the air you breath. Also drinking water from rivers even without boiling it isn't as dangerous as people think. Your immune system adjust after a little while drinking it But I don't encourage it as 0.00001% chance of getting sick is better than say 10% so always boil your water even rain water just to be on the safe side.

      I feel like you ignored the part where I said "If you look at certain industrial centers". If it isn't safe to breathe the air in certain places around your neighborhood, then you might not want to drink the rainwater in your neighborhood.
      Regardless of where your water comes from, it's usually best practice to run that water through some kind of filter before drinking it.

      I don't know of any cities that recycle the water from their sewage systems.

      Why would anyone agree to any law making rain water illegal to capture amd reuse on what you choose to. Sounds like a fascist move. The white liberal is the one that boted on these laws

    It may be legal to collect rainwater in all states like you said, but that didn't stop the state of Oregon from putting a man in jail for 30 days for refusing to destroy a pond and stop collecting rainwater through it.

    Rain water is not free of pollutants, specially the first rain which catches most of the polution in the air.. secons rain is much cleaner.

    • @asandax6
      @asandax6 Год назад +1

      @Heavy Metal Pulp You don't need to. The pollutants in the air you are already breathing them in. As long as the surface and container you are using is clean you can drink the water as is. If it's being caught from your roof than you will need to clean it and boiling it does the job.

      Air pollution is something already in our bodies because we ya know…breath lol. But even so boiling rain or using a filter system for the water to help kill batería is still an option for those who are that worried about it.

    Things this video doesn’t clear up, it is 100% legal federally in the US, however some state laws does make it illegal, and state laws take priority over federal on state owned property. So yes you can be arrested and charge for illegal collection or natural resources, this has been a few times already and recently a person was arrested and charged a significant amount of money in fines for his natural rainwater pond. The state actually sealed up his pond with concrete, which they added the cost of it to his fine. Please read over your local state and city laws, you will be surprised.

  • @prof.crastinator

    Not free of pollutants. It can pick them up in the air too. What the laws do is regulate drinking the water so people don’t get sick.

    The reason rain water works so well for plants is it is ionized from the lightning. More lightning the more ionized it will be.

    I just researched the notion that it is illegal to harvest water. EVERY state it's legal to harvest. They just dont want people diverting 100,000 gallons from natural run offs.

      Actually, factually you are incorrect sir. Here are red states that aren’t just okay with people doing it: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Idaho, Georgia and Florida. Now the two are not entirely red states but being that usually they are considered swing states for political reasons is fair to say they can be included.
