When I first watched the movie I was legit zoning out. I can't remember majority of what happened. I remember a random star said hi, the main person said they should revolt because the king was not gonna grant certain wishes and the queen saw he used the evil book and joined then they all trapped him in a mirror then for some reason the main person became the fairy godmother from Cinderella? I think... I think that's the whole movie right there. Yeah.

I really had to go and listen to "I'll make a man out of you" from Mulan. No crammed syllables, good flow and lyrics, plus the songs was there to actually tell a story: how they were all unprepared, how hard they trained, Mulan was nearly sent home, then she retrieved the arrow and stayed, and what progres they made during this time. This one just feels like filler. If this song did not exist NOTHING would change.

I think the biggest annoyance with this song for me is the fact there's another song called "what I know now" from the Beetlejuice musical and it's absolutely fantastic. But when I see people talking about it I have to do a double take to make sure they're not badmouthing the much better song.
