IF Mother Nature made it, it is not toxic to the human body system (most plants and their compounds are not if we are to use them some exist to balance the ecosystem and protect from predators and are not for our use they are for natures and animals use) and you have no allergies to it, it is a GO! The more you study plants you’ll find their organic biomolecular structure to be compatible with organic human cells & tissues. And they all have beneficial properties for us (flax, aloe, okra, rice, amla, fenugreek, shea butter… the list is soo long)! The researched benefits of Chebe & Ambunu oil are there. It’s best if the Chebe base is natural vs synthetic for best results so grease as in a natural butter base, yes. Petroleum which is the standard base of all hair grease is not so good. 😊

It's certainly is horrifying. Most of us don't realize the ingredients in lots of our personal care products can cause harm over time because they are toxic. All natural is always best when you can get it because then the major concern is allergies when properly formulated vs all this other stuff, next is a fusion of natural and safe synthetics. I'm happy to know you haven't had any issues as is the case for many people as well. When evaluating products I am looking at not only the presence of toxic ingredients but also how many harmful ingredients per product are present and Mielle ranks very high risk. There are soo many of our black owned brands I could not put on my recommended products list in the ebook for this reason. These brands announce nothing ever when it comes to formulation changes so we have to truly look at labels with each purchase to know what we're getting. Thank you for watching & chiming in.

@leilaluster2788 arguably grease is safer than some of these products that contain multiple toxins vs just the base itself of petroleum and oftentimes fragrance I’m not a proponent of grease due to its inability to nourish hair and skin and increased skin cancer associations. But unrefined butters and water are a top tier alternative that not only lubricates hair and skin like grease aka colored scented Vaseline while assisting in slowing moisture evaporation like grease but they also provide nutrients for hair and skin that strengthen and soften them among other things without the health risks. Less is more and all natural is best. Thank you for chiming in. 🌱

I'm soo very sad to hear you've been affected by these products. Always trust your body when it signals you something is wrong. If the only thing you changed was introducing these products then they are the problem for where your unique body chemistry is. It's heartbreaking and upsetting because most of us have no idea hair products contain such toxins and can cause these types of problems. I recommend avoiding all known toxins as much as possible in favor of a holistic lifestyle because you never know when your system hits overload and starts to display symptoms from hair loss to cancer. The good news is when you remove the toxins the body will go into repair mode. I'm happy you've found the video helpful in connecting the dots for you. I'm loving the DIY's as they are top tier all day. I'm at mid back length myself 3.5yrs. I'll grown for 7 and see where I land. The more you use the all natural DIYs you also mitigate any damage caused by the non DIY's. Majority of class action lawsuits for hair products are filed by "the others" so do be ingredient informed no matter what brand you use. The ingredients to avoid list in my ebook is an excellent starting point. Continued blessings on your journey!

Which is the secondary reason I prefer them. The first is they are best for our health & the planet. I recently saw a video of a creator talking about how common lawsuits against hair brands are as if it's not something to be concerned with. Just regular old happenstance...smh. 🙋🏻‍♀️ I’m Hispanic and bought the oil and hair mask from the rosemary line. I did wonder if maybe this whole thing was partly my fault because my hair is wavy not curly. I was trying to get on the ‘rosemary makes your hair grow faster’ bandwagon 🤦🏻‍♀️ I got them about 4 months ago and I’m just shedding like crazy STILL. I do shed a lot normally but this is way more than usual.

I assure you that has nothing to do with it. When it comes to body chemistry and toxicity it’s just a matter of exposure levels and time before symptoms will arise. The products that exponentially harm are not NATURAL (barring allergies & concentration errors) not made by NATURE - an extension of God/ The Creator of ALL & not compatible with our divine natural biochemical composition. Making one's own natural products is an option I wish more of us would explore when we are unable to obtain truly organic natural products.
