In this video, I recreated the iconic Timex worn by Burt Reynolds in Smokey & The Bandit. The watch arrived disassembled and without a crystal, so I put it together and installed a new crystal. To complete the look, I paired it with a sterling silver turquoise bracelet.

Rule of thumb is the date should click over 15 minutes before or after midnight.
I totally agree with you, but that’s not the case with these vintage Timex watches. Usually it changes between 10PM and 2AM. I’ve seen some that start changing around 9pm and won’t click over until about 1AM or 2AM. Thank you watching 😎

Spacers are usually available on eBay. If you can’t find one now, save your search and when one gets posted, you’ll be notified. You can also try searching other watch parts websites.

Thank you for your feedback! I actually noticed a small crack in the rubber strap after posting the video, so I’ve since replaced it, though I kept the original buckle. The updated pictures on my website reflect the new strap. If you're looking for authentic straps with black PVD-coated buckles, you can find them on eBay for around $25-$30. I have to disagree with most comments, I get the repair concerns. But the case can be opened, and the movement can be replaced. But most people also wouldn't repair a seiko 7s26, it's just easier to replace the whole movement. Also, your getting a movement made in Switzerland not Singapore or Malaysia.
Interesting, I found one in a drawer at my Mom's house a few years ago that had been there at least 30 years. Other than missing a band, it's almost perfect, the original bezel in like new condition, no scratches, has the protective sticker still on the back. Wearing it today. I really like it. I know it's worth like $300 but I'll never find another in that condition so I kept it.

I did not for that one. I didn’t have the right tools when I made that video. That being said, the watch still performs very good. I can replace or clean the mainspring in the next service. Thanks for watching 😎

After that day I went to a watchmaker and he said' He cant repair it' So I went back home and disassembled it and after that I keep that for dry and assembled it. But the segments are missing.So I tried AC reset several times but it's same.I think the water damaged some parts of the motherboard . Is there any way to fix this? My 6105 crystal was much worse than that after I wore it for 15 years straight when I put it up. I was watching RUclips videos when Wristwatch Revival came on and Marshall was cleaning a 6105 and I recognized it. I went and dug around the back of my sock drawer and found mine. After watching the video I was motivated to find someone to service it and I wear it frequently now. An Uncle Seiko waffle band and it looks almost new.

Well done, that is now a stunning looking watch. Fairly rough condition from the get go, surprising how someone can let it get so bad but once you put the new crystal on and case it up, it looks brand new.

I am having such a hard time seating the escape wheel, this is my first time stripping downs. Watch and rebuilding it but there’s no hole it’s just a tiny divot and as soon as I line it up (takes forever) once I try and out the top on everything goes out of whack! Any tips for a beginner?
