Just found your channel, I watch a few of these restoration channels and most of these guys all have their own ways of doing things. You seem pretty confident in what you are doing so well done. I’ve often thought about doing watch repairs too but I’m not so confident. I look forward to your next video

Thank you for your kind comment. I was hesitant at first as well and I still have a lot to learn, but I really enjoy it. I think you should give it a shot. Thanks for watching!

Awesome work Dan, I found myself holding my breath in parts of that assembly, I can appreciate how much you must have done to get to where you are now, anyone who has tinkered with watches will know this skill does not come overnight, but with years of hands on experience and I'm sure a large drawer of "spare-parts" from previous learning experiences, great video and respect from me!. just subscribed.

Rod, thank you for your kind words. You are right; it did take me a long time to become comfortable with servicing watches. I gotta say, it is like riding a bike. Once you get the hang of it, your next watch and the one after that get easier to deal with. I appreciate the support! More videos coming soon.

Nice watch! The brand was completely unknown to me.
And you did a nice job again!
Though I wouldn’t use this watch as a real diver I guess.
    But again, nice job.

Thank you! I totally agree with you. I don't think this watch should be used for diving either. I know they claim to be waterproof and all, but I don't trust that.

Why do older watches have those screws in the balance wheel when newer ones don't? Awesome videos, Merry Christmas to you and the family.

I believe the older balance wheels had weight screws to essentially control the 'balance.' The newer ones are computer-generated using precise laser technology to balance them. Merry Christmas to you and your family as well. Thank you for watching!
