Thank you for this guide! I tested it out it works great with cubes, but with the sphere things do not seem aligned. Any idea how to align it better? :)

Honestly the way you made this hair takes a lot of time and has many vertices is not the typical professional way where the hair is a square sheet the way it does cone type it has more polygons and I have not looked at hairs in daz studuio it is supposed to do it in cards is to give more optimization in Unreal Engine if I make such heavy hair for the computer this way better Use Groom that's why I wanted cards to give more performance to the project but doing as you did it will take time and consume a lot of performance👎👎
Tutorials are meant to explain methodologies, tecniques and ways to do things, you need to apply those techniques and adjust them to your projects and needs. That's how learning works... On the other hand, there is a chapter just for optimization...

I purchased the plugin and was able to get good results, but the roots of the hair don’t look good at all. I literally have to adjust their position manually to achieve halfway decent results. All in all, it’s a great tutorial and a nice plugin.

@@act_4act_425 The material is assigned by default when you "Finalize you Hair". Can you check if your hair cards have material, and if they do, you are previewing the material not just the solid geometry?

Hi! That was a very bad experience. They were able to remove my post on LinkedIn and then threatened to sue me for defamation. They tried, but nothing made sense… I just hope nobody else goes through the same. A lot of people reached out to me, explaining similar stories. What a nightmare!

Great video thank you! Do you find this is better for performance in viewport please? As the old method of hair with particle systems used to have massive slowdown and become really sluggish!!
Thanks!! In my case, the performance is good, but I have a powerful machine; if you struggle with the performance, you can always adjust the density of the hair, and once you are happy with the final result, you can crank it up… if you are going to convert it to hair cards, you don’t a crazy amount of density anyway…

Yes, that's to limit the number of enemies that can attack at once; the maximum number of tokens can be changed, for example, based on the level of difficulty :-)

Eres la persona que mas me motiva a trabajar en mi proyecto, nunca he visto a nadie con tantos conocimientos avanzados en casi todas las areas. Especialmente el combate se ve super avanzado. Me parece muy acertado la decision de reducir el scope, me da la sensacion de que aparte del burnout, es un proyeco titanico que te va a llevar muchos años mas acabar. Dicho esto, creo que deberias de poner un poco mas esfuerzo en el arte del juego, no se en que estado lo tienes mentalmente, si vas a continuar iterando y mejorandolo, o simplemente expandiendolo. Pero el arte es lo que principalmente va a atraer a gente a tu juego o no. Muchos diran que es el gameplay etc, y si, es correcto PERO, si tu juego es estilizado, pixel art, cartoon... osea da la sensacion de ser mas indie, se pasa por alto mas el arte si el juego es divertido/unico. Si tu juego es realista, te van a exigir los mejores graficos o se va a ver antiguo si no llegas, y mucho publico que busca esa calidad triple A lo vas a perder. Todo esto lo digo como feedback positivo desde el punto de vista de un environmnet artist con varios años en AAA, para que puedas mejorar y que todo tu esfuerzo no haya sido en vano, porque te admiro muchisimo. Tu juego, no es unico, no lo digo en el mal sentido, esta muy basado en juegos triple AAA, como TLOU, especialmente en la calidad grafica si vas a hacerlo realista, te van a inevitablemente comparar con ellos, y obviamente tu no puedes llegar a la calidad de un juego con presupuestos y cientos de personas. Creo que como minimo le tienes que dar un pase de iluminacion para que sea mas contrastado, en el 0:16 puedes ver que es todo un poco generico dandole un resultado no muy interesante. Tienes que trabajar mas los shaders, en ese mismo 0:16 se puede ver que no hay variacion de roughness y el color es todo muydesaturado y no muy interesante, da sensacion de juego antiguo. Te sugerira mezclar mas materiales tipo barro y charcos de agua para que reflejen y creen contraste. Especialmetne en juegos un poco mas adultos y oscuros, se suele exagerar mas el wetness/roughness de los materiales para que brillen. Si necesitas ayuda/feedback no dudes en decirme algo, estaria encantado de aportar mi granito de arena en lo que pueda. Un saludo.

Tienes razon en todo lo que dices, y feedback como el tuyo ayuda a mejorar y crear mejores proyectos. A nivel visual esta super verde, la verdad que de momento todo lo que tengo esta por defecto, asi que con razon el juego no se ve interesante para nada... mi objetivo es tener una demo jugable lo mas pronto posible, y tener esa demo para que a nivel visual este lo mas parecido al producto final. Como siempre ire mostrando el progreso asi que si quieres aportar y aconsejarme, yo encantado... crear entornos y hacer el diseno de niveles no es nada facil! Por otro lado, me alegra saber que mi trabajo motiva a otros devs, eso es sin duda la mejor parte de compartir mis videos y experiencias! Muchas gracias a ti por ver mis videos y dejar tu granito de arena!

looks so good. this is beyond insane!! i know ur saying it, but theres actually very little info that explains how ALS works… or how to implement it. Been rummaging through yt for a few days, but until you suggested those tuts i didn’t found a single one that actually explains it to some like me, who just discovered it. Any recommendations on how to implement it for melee weapons like you did? maybe some tutorial somewhere that gives u mor insight, or takes u by the hand? :)

@@Tenchinu I'm using UE5.4 and ALS, it's totally compatible. People are starting to use more the new Matching Motion :-)

La idea sería para hacer un cut scene? porque usar este shader para todo el juego ... me parece que deberías ver un equilibrio porque saturaría mucho al jugador ... está bueno, pero más para un cut scene, donde quieres resaltar algo, me parece.

Thanks! I don’t think those maps need to be re-scaled, you can for performance but in terms of quality won’t have too much of an impact…
