Love it may have wrk soon

I put a Rover diesel in a Series II shorty and drove it around Cowra and Blayney in NSW, Australia for many months. It was very economical compared to the tired petrol I removed and I loved driving it. I also added an overdrive which was great on flat roads. Wish I still had a Series Land Rover. My Series II Discovery td5 diesel is currently resting. Last time I drove it decided to only run on 4 out of 5 cylinders. Any ideas? Mike in Oz

Great fun rebuilding them. Have rebuilt a few before old age crept up. Those bits are heavy you know 😅 Still running my 90 Defender 200tdi after I rebuilt it 18 years ago

I ran PG MOTORS LTD. in S.Wales for years, the core of my business was scrapping Landrovers mostly series3s there are hundreds of these dogs still lying in fields and people will pay you to take them away £500 rotten chassis bulkhead engine and everything else,you have given me a good laugh watching this at least .For years I worked for Bearmach plc my boss John Torosyan used to say nothing easier than making money out of a land rover enthusiast These vehicles were junk when they were built. Lol

Well done ! I am happy for you . May I suggest you disconnect your battery before doing any welding on any vehicle ( maybe you do ) . Even on vehicles with no ecu , as it may damage the alternator . Keep up the good work .

These things lose a lot of heat out of the ducting. I advise cladding the ducting to make sure the air coming out of the vent is as hot as it can be.

Great job. It’s worth stripping, cleaning and lubing the pedal pivot while the assembly is out. Mine was so dry, the return spring wasn’t able to fully raise the pedal after depressing. The bolt that holds the oil in was absent, (visible at 5:58) and I don’t think it had seen oil for decades.
