Additional comment: A cute name for your new pony would be Ritz cracker. A course for newlyweds would've helped me 50 years ago, but I am always up for something new, too. I only recently learned how to make a from scratch biscuit that's not hard as a hockey puck. Patera on Appalachian Homestead showed how to make a 2 ingredient biscuit using self rising flour and whipping cream (NOT whipped). I even can do them in the air fryer now!! My husband asks for biscuits all the time now. I can't wait to try this dessert! Thank you!

Now if I had tried to do that without using another bowl for the yolks, I'd have probably had at least yolk bust!

This is the cake my 37 yr old son always asks for as a birthday cake. Hes not much of a sweets eater and especially not icing on cake but this takes care of it.

I absolutely love "poke cakes" one of the many very good memories from my childhood. Vicky did you know you can also use pudding in place of the jello ? You would have to make your holes bigger my mom always used the handle of a wooden spoon then you mix up the pudding according to the directions on the box and pour it over the cake before it sets up. Then ice the cake with cool whip. It's also good & deliciously scrumptious !! Thank you once again for sharing this childhood memory and reminding me about it. I love this recipe, only, my nut of choice is Pecans. This dessert is called Food for the Angels. I have topped this with fruit pie filling, Strawberry or Blueberry, then topped with either sweetened Whipped Cream or Cool Whip. So Good!!!
