I set up a PA system in a challenging vintage arcade with concrete floors and glass walls - talk about a sound engineering nightmare! Despite the event setup challenges in this unconventio...

Does your mixer have a feedback assistance feature I just got the CQ18T and it does like to compare between your adjustments to the automatic adjustments with my mixer. Merry Christmas look forward to more videos next year!
Hey bro I really enjoy your videos. I think you should consider using a graphich EQ instead of a parametric when ringing out the PA/wedges. I avoided doing so for a long time, and once I started it made everyting much much easier. and yes, I'm aware of the fact you cant use both parametric and graphich EQ in most Behringer mixers, so what I ended up doing, is using a graphic EQ as an insert on the main bus. works fine
Bonjour KELVYN Paturot
This is a good tip! What kind of butterfly clamp is that?
I wish I can have your this sound system. I love it
How come you don't use the subs more often? With this situation I understand because it's only talking anyway. Great video once again. You guys are great and make my day❤ happy holidays!
Where do you get those power con strips
Ever thought about upgrading the x32R to Wing Rack?
You should try turning up the RTA offset in mixing station to get more sensitive bars when using the parametric EQ. Helps me a lot.
Tu forma de trabajo me gusta, tengo una empresa de sonido en Venezuela y esa forma te estoy copiado te felicito amigo éxitos feliz navidad y un buen año.
honestly you're an inspiration man. Me and my friends started a live audio company we are just 3 people and watching youre videos has been fun and i learned a lot.
Which non-tripod stands do you use? Great channel of information by the way.
💰 Christmas 🎄
It’s like I’m watching The Office but for audio guys.
I'd love if you made a video showing the gear that you have that will be great also I'm a big EV fan love them speakers great job
I do the same type of work. What is best way you would recommend getting gigs?
Merry Christmas Connor! Love the way you format these. Clean simple, and hilarious. LOL the eating bit w the cutaways of the mic technique😂
Always love checking out your videos as soon as they drop! Keep it up
Best way to close out the year with some holiday gigs! Those are usually easy! Man, people that place the mic on their chest are always troublesome. I’m a mobile dj, so I use SCM410 for feedback suppression.
Me watching with a single TH-15A thump 😮
Me watch with 12 RCFs 😃😃
Ever considered a column array for the corporate events e.g. LD, Bose, RCF, EV ? you would get away with just 2 in that space - great video - glad you're getting the corporate gigs - show me the money!
I always look forward to seeing your videos. Keep em coming! Thanks so much.
Thanks dude!
Merry Christmas Silver Creek Audio.
you too!
Nice and chill! Did you ever look into getting a winch for your fan, to pull your gear inside the van when it rains and the ramp is wet, yet?
Not yet, we got the partition installed first. That's a project for the new year!
Hey hey Merry Christmas!
you too my man!
You seem to have the perfect temperament for this business. That is something you can’t learn.
When do u choose to use these kind of speaker stands and when do u choose to use those 3 legged ones? These kind of gigs are the "best" least issues and pay decent!
I think the flex stands are tidier looking, and can fit into tighter spaces, so I use them for speaking events mostly. I used the three legged one for the second gig because I didn't have a fourth flex stand. Thanks for watching dude!
Do you also eq the room, or just ring out the mics?
just the mics
Simple and nicely set up
thanks man!
The green reminds me of the matrix
lol I was going for Grinch but I do love the green undertones of the matrix! Thanks for watching dude!
Merry Christmas to you and you family 🎉
New video! waiting for your video man 😍
Hope you like it! Thanks for watching!
Awesome stuff! I love seeing other people's perspectives on how they work and what they do differently. Me myself im currently learning via school events and shows so this is amazing to watch and I have alot to learn!
Hey, thanks! It’s cool that you’re diving into this at school! Keep learning-you're gonna crush it!
I really love your van dude 😅
Thanks, dude! Wouldn't do this without it!
Great Vid man! Roughly How much did you charge for an event like this? Future videos on leads and pricing would be dope! Thanks
I listened to A Charlie Brown Christmas 20 times this month. What have you done lately? Hope everyone has a good Christmas!
As someone who works in house Audiovisual in a healthcare setting this video was just comedy gold for me. from microphone etiquette to the lighting. I'm pretty sure you summed up around 60% of my life. One note though, you have way more trust in hospital power than I do! :) Happy holidays, great content as always!!
lol I'm glad you liked the video man! Thanks for watching!
You good youtuber
Thanks!
Hey. Did you have any problem with the wireless connection from mixer to ipad? I just did bought the same access point and edgerouter you use, but not try it out yet :) Nice to see your calm video's :)
before i switched to the edgerouter an access point I would have connection issues but after the switch, I don't have any issues.
love it
Thanks for watching Kevin!
i have the same type of van Sprinter 2500 4x4 144 High roof, and we also installed a 3 person seating as a divider to bring more people to help with loading and downloading, we also have the same t-bars on the floor and on the walls, when we load all the equipment we use less tide raps, and started to go up on the cases, we have only 1 case for XLR and Power cables, and 1 rack case for all the wireless mics with a 3 size drawer to hold the mics and accessories, we also bring 2 18" inch subwoofers, 2 15" speakers, and 2 12" speakers, TV's, Spot ligths, totems, cold sparks case and dance on the clouds machine case and everything fits! we got our ramp on harbor freights for less than 200 and it fits vertical at the end of the truck.
That's awesome man! The van (and ramp) has been the smartest investment we've made. I couldn't imagine going back to a van. Glad yours is working out for you too!
What kind of cable do you use to make your PowerCon Cables? Also, where did you get your quad drop boxes?
I used Southwire 12ga SOOW cable but you could use their SJOOW cable and it would fit the powercon connectors a bit easier. I bought the quad boxes from OA Windsor.
Great videos ! Something we made that really help speed things up. We made whips for each monitor. It’s a Siamese cable. It has monitor send xlr. Vocal xlr, true1 for wedge and OA Windsor quad box for artist power. Our stage box has a rack mount power strip in it that powers all the whips We also use Siamese cable w 2 XLRs for subs and tops . So just as fast but we never get lazy and run subs and tops on the same matrix
That's a great idea! Love OA Windsor!
Lovley set up clean and need but i don't like the tops from EV so shit quality i got 8 of them after 10 minutes of use they will start to pick and sound shit
Oh dang! That stinks!
Those powerboxes with the powercon in + through: which type are those?
I bought them from a company called OA Windsor
gear has become so nice and compact , you don t need much to setup a gig like that , just box digital consol , pair of self power speakers , and some stage monitor , or in ear , bunch of ligths , and you are good to go ,
This is true! Thanks for watching!
@@SilverCreekAudio yeah , if you use the berhinger or midias box for 500eu you can make sound for 5-6 pice band , 2 guitars bass , keys , and analogue drums , i see many stage using throws , i iven have drivers for thows divice on my laptop when i need to record shows ,
Currently using the MR18. Hopefully I don't outgrow it and feel that I need an AES expansion which the X32 or even the latest WING series support... But yep for size and weight easy choice. Also any reason why u did not pick a sequencer over just a Furman regulator? Oh! How does the ULXD4Q connect to the same network? It wouldn't conflict with the X32 rack?
I saw the ratchet straps but curious whether to pick the S hock kind or just buy those without the hooks? What is the difference?
The ZLX are some of the best speakers they can do so much been using mine as mains for djing for about 6years lol need to upgrade
Hi, what. WIRELESS XLR transmitter eceivers do you recommend? For Mics and\or speakers so I can add a speaker wirelessly?
Would love to get a timestamp to see setup/breakdown startup start/finish times
