    Never lie when asked about gun ownership. But never answer the question. For example, children need to be taught to answer with, “I don’t know how to answer this. I will have my parents talk to you about this question.” And if your asked, “I’m sorry. But I’m unsure why you need to know this. I’m uncomfortable with you asking about my sexuality, political affiliation or weapon ownership.”

    Absolutely disgusting , how the oppressive regime of Maryland continues to assail the God given rights, and constitutional guarantees our forefathers fought and died for. The administrative state and bureaucracy have a very firm grip on the reigns. When good men look the other way as our rights are eroded, so blatantly….. this is precisely what happens.

    The American Eagle Luger is the one that was submitted for testing slong with tonnes of others. There are good reasons it was not picked. It is finicky as hell and just simply not reliable. The 1911 works and works and works. It was chosen for good reason and stayed the right choice for a lomg time for good reason. Frankly they could hsve just started issuing double stack 1911s in 9mm to satisfy tue nato caliber requirements and done just fine by my lights.

    • @NobleSavage44
      @NobleSavage44 3 дня назад

      It was. The war started in 1914, we entered in 1917, ended 1918. So one year, but probably wasn’t that big of a player overall.

    I'm 39 now and live in a rural-ish part of Pennsylvania, but I first started carrying concealed when I was 25 (so, 14 years now). For the first 10 or so years, I carried a Smith & Wesson Bodyguard .380 (6+1), inside the waistband appendix, with my shirt untucked. Then, about 3 or so years ago, I upgraded to a Smith & Wesson Shield Plus 9mm (12+1), strong side with a Safariland retention holster, outside the waistband under my shirt, and a spare mag. Now, in the last 6 months or so, I decided I prefer my Mark III Browning Hi-Power in .40 (10+1), which I carry strong side in a leather holster, outside the waistband with a spare mag. I've started tucking in my shirt, and wearing a blazer (It's a slim fit and lightweight material for the summer), and during the cooler months, I tend to wear a long p-coat), so it's always concealed. My Hi-Power has an after market hammer and spring kit from BH Spring Solutions, which allows me to carry it in condition 1 with the hammer down. When you disengage the safety, the hammer springs back and is ready to go, so it's effectively the same as carrying cocked and locked. I also wear a steel core belt, so the gun doesn't "feel" heavy, really at all. The 1791 leather holster that I have for it, is very well-made and keeps the gun tucked close to my body. I have a great love for this pistol--there's a lot of history behind it, and it's very elegant looking. It's also very imposing when drawn. The fact that it's chambered in .40 and has the modification, is pure happenstance, and all the more contributed to the fact that I know the that it was meant be that this is gun I carry, since it's so unique. Also: it's essentially an "improved 1911," which has now become the standard and has lasted for nearly 100 years, since nearly every modern pistol using the same Browning tilt-barrel design. PA is an open carry state, so sometimes I like to go pen with it, and I get a lot of compliments and interest from strangers. I was at the government building, the other day, dropping off my ballot, and (out here) you're able to go through security with your firearm and check it into a locker for some state government buildings, as well as courthouses. One of the officers was asking me what kind of pistol it was, and I got to explain it to him. PA also has no laws regulating the consumption of alcohol while carrying, and I (as well as a few other members of the community) routinely carry and openly display at the tavern that I frequent. It tends to be an interesting conversation starter. I suppose my point with all this is--I think there's more to carrying a firearm than high-level tactical aspects. For some people, there's more of a cultural pride and historical tradition that goes along with it, and some people prefer to be more relaxed about it. For me, there's a real joy in my EDC. If I were going to be spending a lot of time in a major city, I may choose to carry my 9mm Shield. But my the community and pace at which life goes where I live, doesn't demand a high-level of alertness and tactical responsiveness. There's a time and place for a real seriousness to it, but carrying should be enjoyable, and I think that is definitely variable depending on your lifestyle. Anyway, keep up the great videos!

    "1911 has a HAMMER, and's a little hard to field strip, and you carry it COCKED AND LOCKED!!" Ohhh, the horror - if you're not familiar with the platform, youngster, SHADDUP when adults are talking. It's DIFFERENT than what you are used to, that does not make it bad, or wrong. The REAL question is, "what platform is the individual comfortable with, can hit reliably with, and carry comfortably. For some, that's a .22, or a .38, or whatever. Some folks with bad arthritis can't handle more than a .380 ACP. BUT EVERY CALIBER CAN WORK, CUZ NOBODY LIKES TO LEAK, in the words of Walt Roush, well-known trainer and ex-cop. Remember the first rule of gunfighting is HAVE A GUN....
