Chinese Diesel Heater New Controller Q & As
This is the "New Type Chinese Diesel Heater Controller" that now seems to be shipping with the Diesel Heaters. Since my last video in the functions of the heater I have been asked a heap of questions some of which I answer in this video.

Diesel Heater New Type Controller

After installing my Chinese Diesel Heater I found the LCD screen was different to the common one shown on RUclips. Instructions were not very clear so I went through all button combinations with help from the instructions I had to work out what buttons do what. While there is no clock display on this LCD screen, timers are quite accurate when times are set.

I gave my last sawhorse to my neighbour so need to make some new ones. The storage area was limited so I made this pair of slim folding sawhorses in about an hour using 70x19mm timber, gang nails and a couple of hinges. Another test of Barracuda10K V Hydrochloric acid. This test is over several jobs and different bricks so is quite comprehensive. The information I have received from the distributors of B10K is that it dissolves 10x more mortar than HCL but as can be seen from the results of this test, it has not been the case on these samples.
I now have a 24 volt power source, is there someway to change it to 24 volts?

Thank you for the great video. Am I correct in assuming that I cannot set the on timer and the off timer to work in succession. For example, I want the heater to come on in 1 hour for then turn off an hour later when I am away from my caravan. I might want to do this if I know it will be freezing tonight and I want to heat up the interior for a little while in the middle of the night. It looks like I can only activate the on time timer when it is not running and the off time timer when it is running but I need to activate each of these manually.

For 2 years i have been cooking in my van, always set temp but had it on manual mode, temp would go up to 30c + but now in automatic mode i set temp to say 15c its comfortable even though goes a little higher, great video thank you

I have this same manual control. The system seems to be running ok, however the display never shuts off. It is drawing a small amount of power from the battery constantly. Does anyone know how to shut it off without disconnecting the battery? Sorry, I don't mean when the heater is running ... I mean when the heater is off and has not been used for some time. Suddenly the display is lit up even though the heater has not been used in a couple of months. Or was the screen always on and I couldn't see it in daylight?
No you can't sorry. The draw is minimal when dimmed

You can't. It only dims when not in use
On this type of controller do you know how to put it into Hz mode as i need to connect it to a separate water heater controller

Hi the heater i have is the upright all in one,its up and running but i, struggling to set the thermostat so it switches off at say 20c, help cheers.
Can only switch off after a set time, not available for temp switch off

You can only set 1 timer. Either on timer OR off timer. Not both
@@tarsneyisleestrelas4659 this model has no clock, just a timer. You can only set it to go off after a set amount of time, if its running. Or to come on if its not running, but not to come on, then off, only one at a time, I know!!

Hi Mic, great video and my has just started showing E-8 while trying to start up. Do you know what this may be? All I've been able to find is E-08 in Google search. Some say fuel issue? Can you enlighten me before I lose my sh#t. Cheer
When it errors out with E-8 it doesn't show the red triangle in the top right corner like in the secret menu.

Please help. I have the exact same model as you and all of a sudden it turns off after blowing white smoke and saying error 8. When the inside case is heating it used to go up to 100degrees but now it doesn’t go any higher than 46 degrees. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong
Error 8 is lack of fuel. You need to check all lines, ensure fuel is primed to heater, glow plug is working correctly
@@2005mic it still had a little bit of fuel in the tank left but I could see plenty of fuel still in the line as it was priming. Do you have any idea why the internal temperature only gets up to around 40 degrees now
@@Ryderamazing fuel may be contaminated with .moisture. must have plenty of fuel in tank
hi , how long did you have to prime before the fuel reached the pump ?….also I have the blue controller and it appears to do exactly the same functions as your black one and the little blue icon by the air intake is exactly the same as yours but there are other blue controllers that function differently with a slightly different icon .
They self don't prime that well. You need to get the fuel to the pump, then prime from pump to heater

Hello! is it possiple to use that "mountain" set for lower fuel consuption in sea level? its 1,6Hz for mountain and sea level 2Hz. beacause to me that regular "H1" mode is too efective.
The mountain setting is for high altitude where there is less oxygen. Hence to keep fuel air mixture correct. Useing it at lower altitudes will result in a lean burn resulting in shorter heater life

Any thoughts on why my power on off switch won’t work. I have to keep insert /remove the battery to start /stop👎 I used to on off with the remote but since changing the battery in the remote the remote doesn’t seem to talk to the main controller
Don’t mean the battery I mean I have to insert or remove the fuse to start stop

E-2 error. my first battery wasn't strong enough for the glow plug. i switched to a big car battery and no error. hope this helps.

The new remote control with OLED display has 2 x AAA 1.5V Micro LR03 cells. WTF A27 or A23 that annoys everyone. OLED display remote control (433Mhz) should be / is compatible with the new controller according to the operating instructions. It is cheaper to buy an OLED display remote control than A27 batteries. I use two old 1,2V Ni-MH... Thank You for the Video!
