How To Help Your Therapy Clients NOW With A Letter Burning Ritual.

    Thank you for video, I have a question is there alternate website of bark?

  • @m.hussain360
    @m.hussain360 Месяц назад

    How the professionals get paid on Bark? If you are a digital service provider and operating from a different region or neighborhood how can you get your charges or fee? Like Fiverr, is it held by Bark as a security and then released after the completion? or some other method?

    • @TherapyBusinessSchool
      @TherapyBusinessSchool Месяц назад

      @@m.hussain360 great question and it’s really easy. You charge your fee, and negotiate with the client when you will get paid, depending on your own contract. The client then pays you, with no involvement from Bark whatsoever, which also means you receive 100% of what you charge. Does that assist? 😊

    • @m.hussain360
      @m.hussain360 Месяц назад

      @TherapyBusinessSchool Thanks for your detailed response. So, what if the client refuses to pay at the end of the service/ contract? There is no legal binding to it, right? It all depends on the trust and an e-contract.

    • @TherapyBusinessSchool
      @TherapyBusinessSchool Месяц назад

      @@m.hussain360 Then they would be legally bound by the contract they signed regarding payment, by whichever means you operate with. If they refuse to pay, you could take legal advice, ensuring you have the contract to prove they have not paid for a service you have provided (and can prove you have provided it). Honestly, I have never had an issue, although it sounds like you work in a different niche than I do.

    Thanks for the very helpful video. Here is what it has on the Bark website about why different leads have different credits - "Leads vary in credit price depending on the service required and the size of the job. This is calculated based on the specific requirements of each customer when submitting their request on Bark. For example, a lead where a customer needs their 2 bedroom flat cleaned as a one-off will require fewer credits to respond to than a lead where a customer needs their 4 bedroom house cleaned every week". Hope that explains a bit more. Just started out trying this in Australia. Still skeptical but I thought I'd throw $200 at it and see what happens.

      I would try this approach: 1. When you go to your leads, filter them for 'Action a buyer has taken', click the box next to it, then click 'Apply'. 2. Follow the steps I suggested. For example, the lead is new/recent, the number is confirmed, you will be the first to apply, and they fit your criteria. What I have found is when the 'buyer has taken an action', they are more open to being contacted and responding. Ideally, look for those who have given extra detail in their responses, too. Let me know if this helps. James

    Thank you for uploading this video. I wonder if you have any ideas about different cultures regarding this eye accessing cues?. The differences are noted when we have clients from different backgrounds and the same issues may not be the same. Some cultures are taught from a very early age not to get eye contact with others. Therefore how can we evaluate this EAC? I would go even further and state people who are neurodiverse may also not be fairly evaluated by this method.

    • @TherapyBusinessSchool

      Thanks for commenting and that’s a great question. The concept behind this is, it’s beyond learned behaviour, so more it’s how we are hard-wired. Note, this is just a cue, or a possibility to perhaps assist, and not a guarantee. I would not recommend or suggest that this should be solely relied on as ‘fact’. Instead, I use it as a tool that may or may not assist. One thing I did not mention on the video is the VAK model (visual, auditory or kinaesthetic). This may feature, and also be relevant too. So perhaps test it out with someone (client or otherwise), but without making them aware so you don’t introduce a bias to skew your findings, and see how you find it. Best wishes, James 😊

    Hi James, thanks for the video. You gave a "for instance" fee of £70 as a standard charge for a session. I was wondering if there is a point where the counsellor's charge makes Bark unviable? For example, in my local area, in a working class market town outside of London, £40 to £50 is the typical charge. In your experience, would a counsellor who charges £40 per session struggle to break even?

    • @TherapyBusinessSchool
      @TherapyBusinessSchool 4 месяца назад

      @@Lambgarnish thanks for commenting. One thing about making your fees typical, or ‘average’ is there is a risk of being viewed as an ‘average therapist’ by the general public. They will make an assessment of you based on your price alone, even though you may be the best therapist in the area. I would also recommend doing the maths around this. For example, if you charge £40 a session, and have ten clients who have 10 sessions with you, that’s £4000. At the same ratio, but charging only £10 more, that’s £5000, so another £1000 but for the same amount of work, and time. Regarding Bark, if just one client comes on board from Bark and has multiple sessions with you, that will pay for all the credits you bought, and then some. So I’d say it is still worth it 💯. You also have your own business costs too, so that should feature in your pricing as well. Remember, clients are not paying you for your services. They are paying to release or resolve something that is impacting them, and what is the price they will pay if they do not do this? Will their relations suffer? Will they continue to have anxiety, depression, low confidence, etc. I would suggest the price of not addressing this is far too high, and they may not have thought of it in this way before. One other thought is the saying, ‘Birds of a feather flock together’, and it’s generally true. People who can only afford £40 sessions will (generally) associate with others who can only afford £40 a session. If they tell their friends about the help you have given them, then you are keeping yourself in a tight financial bracket, as the cost of living continues to rise, so you would actually be earning less. Is it worth them going without a coffee or two to be able to afford getting the help they need? If you haven’t already, pop over and join my Facebook group. The link is in the description. I do FB lives in there and answer and questions you may have too. I hope this helps. Best wishes, James

    • @TherapyBusinessSchool
      @TherapyBusinessSchool 4 месяца назад

      @@Degrassigirl2530 I am unsure if you mean the client towards the therapist or the therapist toward the client. If it was the client towards their therapist, the feelings might be very genuine (from the client's perspective), but the client is not actually seeing the full version of the therapist. They only see a particular side of them, i.e. their professional therapeutic side. The risk of misinterpreting or not realising this partial side as their 'complete side' is easily done. Think of when you visit your dentist, for example. You only see the dentist version of the person, not the whole person. Does that make sense? If it was a therapist towards their client, if they were to act on their feelings, this would be a massive breach of professional boundaries and conduct. I would also suggest this is much more serious. The therapist should absolutely be more aware of erotic transference than their client is (similar to the Florence Nightingale aspect I mentioned in the video), and this must be taken to supervision. Also, the therapist is not really seeing the complete version of the client, either. They are seeing their troubled or vulnerable side. They are being 'let into' that part under the strict condition that the therapist will not breach professional boundaries under any circumstances whatsoever. Also, how can it be a 'real' emotional attachment when the therapist is only seeing a specific side that is being presented, and this side requires help? They may feel an emotional attachment to a certain side of their client (ie a parental feeling), but they are certainly not being authentic if they believe this is the full version. Again, this is why supervision exists. I don't know if this has answered your question, but I hope it has made sense.

    Well James, I picked number 4 but the description is way off. I'm definitely more like number 2 👍

      I compare alot when I really shouldn't due to imposter syndrome, my shortcomings definitely bother me, and I'm always working on my 'self'. However, I'm intrigued as to what the rest of the books contain so I may well invest 😊

      Some are way off the mark, but some really hit the bullseye for me and got me thinking, "Wow, I didn't realise that about myself"! Overall, they are fun little books, and can even be used in therapy sessions with clients to discover belief systems. So with this one, imagine if you posed this kind of question to a client, their answer could really open the door to their thoughts.

    One person may be sitting in the therapy chair during a session, but that does not mean there is just one voice! Sometimes, there are many client 'voices', and some may be actively and intentionally silent too. In this episode, I discuss this, some reasons why it may be happening, and some techniques to assist you too. Best wishes, James
