Hi Jon , I am renewing my adr insurance , can I ask who you took your policy out with, Thanks Greg
@backroadbiker7277 Hello pal, I'm currently with ERS through BCD, it's due for renewal in October and I may be looking at other options then. Brokers that do haz goods are few and far between as you know.
@@justanothercourier cheers
@@justanothercourier think i might stop doing ADR most of the quotes I am getting are over £5000
@backroadbiker7277 Ouch, depends how much adr work you get I guess.
Thanks for the mention, keep doing your thing! 👏🏻
You'd be glad that just now I’ve liked your RUclips Channel. Cos, your content was really awesome. But unfortunately, there are not much views. I noticed that your video SEO score is too weak according to your needs. Because of that, your video is not reaching your target audience. You will be glad to hear that I can help you increase your SEO score so that it is top on the first page of RUclips which will increase your subscribers and views organically. So, if you want to do this, I await your response.
So glad your getting work.. Its nice to hear.. I am struggling to fin work.. I have 86 bids on jobs with a value of £8000.. But its rare that few takes my bids.. I am looking into getting a new van because I dread my next van MOT.. CX is mega money if they take 10% of your job commission I think its only fare they reduce the monthly cost by 10%.. Its hard enough couriers on CX Possibly making a living.. I even thought about trying it but it would bust me.. Cool video
Cheers for the mention mate, good to see you back on the on our screens 👏
Bet youre glad you rushed back for the game lol 😂 Nice to see you back Jonno
Hello, I am thinking about joining the CX with a small van. I was thinking of a Berlingo. You think is still a good money source for a small van? What rates are payed these days on small van? What is the earning possibility and what it costing you monthly or weekly?
You don’t have to pay for this payment service if you are not using the factoring service! Sign up so we can pay you through CX, no cost to you but makes it easier for us! 👊🏼👍🏻
Cheers Clive, I need to see more info about how it works first.
Hello sauce pot, all the better for seeing you ;) ❤ Hahaha oii you, leave us stokies alone ;) your slowly sounding like me , serves you right😉💕
Looking good Mr J
CX don't care less bud. CX need a big tech company coming in like Uber
To many people willing to work for nothing should be set rate for different type vehicles per mile
Already basically is mate as follows Svan 70p pm Swb 80p pm Mwb 90p pm Lwb £1 pm Xlwb £1.05 pm Luton £1.10 pm If a Luton is to do 300miles that is £330 cost of the Luton is fixed and variable the variable costs being fuel, food, ad blue, anything that d depends on how long your working for, fixed costs being, tax, insurance, cx, accountant if have 1 etc. Working all this out a Luton on average costs 65p pm to run taking into consideration applying a new van purchase in that cost. £1.10 - 65p leaves you with a profit of 45p per mile + 50%vat rake back if flat rate registered, 45p pm profit over 300miles is £27per hour profit! Completing in realistically 6 1/2 hours making £175.50 ready to take another 300 mile job. Please know that majority of the time the prices above will guarantee you the job in that vehicle size PROVIDING your eta is suitable, feedback!!!!!!!! And price. Hope this helped :)
Been on hx for 7 years and definitely changed for the worse
I am so glad to see you on here.. I have just been checking my "SHIPLY" account It reads really pants.. Depressed don't come close in my opinion.. My feeling towards COURIER EXCHANGE, is expensive outfit for not much return.. One job delivery. I Will come back to you when I've got my facts n figures correct.. I am not CX I could not afford the system and head work that goes with it.. I believe if I deliver a job I get paid for it on the day or within 5 working days. This got difficult..2017 - 2024 = 96 Months I had jobs for 54 months..no work for 7 months. My head is pretty screwed up because the courier market seems to work on far less than £1 a mile regardless of vehicle.. Your start point is from home I live around 18 miles from previous jobs. Last year I drove to Birmingham to collect a job for £165 going into London in ULEZ zone.. Just one example.. You are the only courier I subscribe too the others piss me right off.. How I see it many people looking for work and have a base capital of £8000 pounds could start on Courier Exchange but in my own estimation you will not get £8000 back in at least 2 years. There doesn't seem to be any work out there.. Look I worked as a taxi driver its really simple the guy on the radio has his favorite drivers, What is stopping CX RUNNING 10 of there own vans and there very own drivers gaining a great wage weekly..? I worked for E COURIERS in London one or more drivers was getting fed great jobs his income far out weighed my weekly wage, my basic wage was average £350..for London that is crap. The courier system is flooded with foreign drivers Just like on the taxi systems. Find an English ran car wash in the UK...?
Cx don't care i have spoken to them regarding the issues and they don't want to now. Paid money and thats it really not fair would i pay next year not sure
What's do you mean by poor quality of drivers?????
Nice rapper look
🤣
Thanks for the video mate. What is this syndicate driver issue. Can you please explain a bit more
Multiple drivers with un tracked vehicles with questionable insurance etc using 1 cx account I essence.
One by one companies need to protest like we say don’t take any job from mr.zzz and only bid price for dedicated service that is what we can do
This syndicate thing is a new one to me. Maybe the Cx should make sure every vehicle is all registered on the Cx.
Perfect answer look go to any service and see how is around no one but 10 lutons there and other vans i know some drivers come here for two week trills and employees don’t pay them because don’t pass and this is how they running so cheap
Maybe a biometric login system would solve the problem the CX has
That doesn't make sense.
I want to see location based loading, like mcdonalds deliveroo, evri, if the device is not at the pickup the app will not allow the job to be progressed.
But what about if your in London and would take any job on the way north? That would restrict your ability to earn. In theory it's a good idea but in reality it isn't
You know & I know & many others know there are syndicate drivers out there operating on one CX membership in certain Areas of the UK & its almost impossible to win a job at the correct rate,The quicker CX come up with a method of putting a stop to this the better this will then save the CX if they don’t sooner or later they will pay the price & lose Subscriptions 🤔
Good to see a new video up pal, first 3 months of the year so far pretty poor on the platforms. If I didn’t have customers I’d be screwed.
What’s happened to Firkin Freight ?🤔
Would be Nice if you could be heard over the road noise 😞
yeah great jon ... nice to see this type of video 👍🎥👍 might start doing a few myself ive not done a great deal on the cx video wise , i seem to be messing about making silly random shorts for youtube ! anyway take care and hope to see more of this 👊
Yeah gonna invest in a Bluetooth mic I think
@@justanothercourier sounds good .....ive just bought a gopro 12 black and going to order a bluetooth mic for it 👍
What a load of drivel What was the point You talking bull
What a load of rubbish Professionals quote for work RUclips amateurs bid for it
Some good points well made, unfrotunatley there are too many 'twat' rate bidders on the CX making it hard to make decent money, but that's the nature of a biding platform. We all need to be like Mr Anvil, now that man can turn mud into gold!
London to aberdeen 585 mile 3 hour stuck in traffic and 12 hour driving felt like a life time thought i was parked next to a lion at 1 point found out later it was deers dellowing 😂 but made delivery and got blocked from the comapny lol never knew how hard driving could be..home on empty miles aswell
Like ur videos mate. Im new to cx 2 months in still dont understand everything but isnt to bad. U have give me some good ideas. And abit more understanding of the job.
Some good advice there John
Really where??????
@@amrikbains4145 not surprising you’d disagree Amrik!! Hope you are well
@@anvillogistics477 I disagree because it’s bull. You boys a scrapping around making our industry a joke and not respecting people that have put decades dingo their businesses You all are a disgrace
@@anvillogistics477 I’m on holiday. So that’s my last post
Hi TMSV. This is a really well explained and reasoned video on some fundamental concepts, that would be like gold dust to new independent same day couriers. It strikes me that a lot of what you are talking about is dependent on ones mindset being correctly aligned with the role of a self employed contractor, which in my view is very different from the mindset required to be an employee. Looking forward to the next video. Best wishes.
How much would you chage daily for LWB work on moving building materials (around 500 - 1500 kg) including handball within around 130 miles radius?
Difficult to say pal really, I'd be careful loading 1500kg, not many lwb that I know of can take more than 1200kg... I'd probably say around £300 as a day rate is fair.
@@justanothercourierif the total weight for the day would be over 1000kg then I would split it in two runs. The drops are within a 30 mile radius so when I can't take it all at once I go to one side of town and on my way back stop to collect the rest. I meant to put 130 miles total for the day and 30 miles radius 😅
@rekord30 Ah no worries mate that makes more sense. I'd work out a rate that you're happy with per hour and x it by the amount of hours you'll be working, add a figure on for handball and a rough pplm figure. I only quoted the figure of £250-£300 as a lot of guys in LWB doing same day have that figure for their daily target. Obviously this is different work. It all depends on what ur happy with.
1000 here you come, daily we need lol
Thanks buddy
Saturday morning with Johnno, while i prepare a family breakfast, thank you. Great set of topics well covered.
Thanks pal, more rambling shite you mean 😅
some good info there , always good to see your videos jon
Cheers mick
Nice to see you back fella. What you say makes sense but although there’s some great shippers out there unfortunately there is a lot of shippers that aren’t as realistic on rates ( tight) of which is killing the good drivers
Great video mate nice to hear from you 😊
Good to see you back 🎉
SPEAK ENGLISH 😅😅😅
Not just Tuesdays. The whole week seems to be like that at the moment.
I’m not a courier as you know but if I was…..I would never put myself in another man’s chair! 😂
🤣🤣
Had one to Cyprus told customer it was too far but they wanted it done regardless in the end it got co loaded on a lorry not viable in a van 🤦♂️
Customer said can you go to Moscow told him not to be so stupid and air freighted it.
Scotland- dead miles London- heart failure Prisons- they keep me Hospitals - parking Alcohol- I like my van Fire works- I like my van Tbf most jobs I’ll do if the money is ok
Bro your voice is amazing, you sound like captain price
Telford - I heard there’s a tall man there that sits a small van. sounds terrifying
London, absolutely hate it. Traffic horrendous and can’t get out unless you work for peanuts
