The title sucks on this. It should be washing my luv. 😂
Spray booth. Love it!
nice and simple. Luv it! lol keep em coming!
Thanks! Will do!
Congratulations on breaking 1000! Your channel deserves the subs!
Thank you very much!
Great job Tim. How far are you going to take the body work on this LUV ?
Thanks Brian, I am not sure yet. I'm just trying things I have always wanted to do to a Luv. I am planning to shorten up the bed next.
Can you help me with gas line from a 1978 chevy stepside
I will try, what exactly do you need? The hose from the tank to the filler nozzle?
I need a picture or video of the three lines on the gas tank. They go to a think it’s a vapor tank under the fender on a stepside I need to see where are the three lines hook up to Thank you
Haha awesome I love my LUV and I will never get rid of it!
That's cool! Is that as far as it will open, though? It seems like the fenders are kind of in the way as far as working on the engine.
Thanks Bud, It will flip all the way beyond straight up. I am going to put something in place to limit it and give you room to work under the hood. 😎
@@LuvTruckGarage Good deal! 👍
Please take note people! This is a 65 y.o. man doing this. Laying on the ground, doing the hard & dirty work to make this project happen. That alone should make the "youngins" have some respect for the "old dudes"
I'm just having fun.👍
lol! I've really done this a few times. The perfect statement from someone that knows his stuff!
Have you thought about toggle latch clamps to secure the fenders? Similar to chest latches, I think those would work out nicely. Now I gotta go watch the previous 4, but nice video and cool idea.
Thanks, I will look into that. I was just thinking of welding a bolt with a hole for a pin to hold it against the rocker panels. 👍
lmbo! 10mm Vice Grip - sometimes the oldest tool is the best
Building a 72 luv 4.3. V6. Can't wait2 get her done
That is awesome. Those are good motors with plrnty of power for a Luv.
Looking good bud. Glad to see you having fun in the garage! 🫶🏻🫡
Thanks 👍Nothing like that freight train you are building!
I feel that when you moved to Arkansas from California you were very lucky to find such a nice place with a nice big garage. That 88 Silverado is looking real good, glad you finally got it back. Thanks for sharing Tim.
Thank you Brian. I was totally blessed to find this house with the garage of my dreams. I looked for 11 months before I found this Silverado, it took patience!
Very cool, looking good! Beautiful Silverado! Best regards! 😎👍
Thank you very much!
@@LuvTruckGarage You're welcome!
That'll be pretty cool
Thank you LT, Just playing in the Garage. 😉
I've always liked this little Chevy LUV truck since they start making them. I like the forehead light configuration the best. Personal preference. 😊 Your tilt front end is interesting parents thanks for showing
Thanks, I was 15 when they came out and I have always had a warm spot for the Luvs. 4 headlight are the best! 😎
@@LuvTruckGarage I have a long bed version from around 1980 I believe. I had the four headlight version yellow with black grill in my early twenties. I want to have now I don't have any real interest in. It's an Isuzu label truck as well. I found a 4 by 4 out in New Mexico at truck stop in this DieHard Ford guy bought it just to beat it up around his farm. He bought it off the original owner I guess for next to nothing. It was straight and essentially rust free. I mentioned that these are valuable and collectible. He said yeah but they're not worth there as much as it would cost me to buy something else to use it. One of these days I'll run across one is not a rust bucket. Preferably a two-wheel drive
@@CAROLDDISCOVER-FINDER2525 Good luck finding one. FB marketplace seems to have them available most of the time. I am going to sell the Black 4x4 I have once I get it running and driving. It has some rust in it.👍
@@LuvTruckGarage how much you going to ask for your 4x4
@@CAROLDDISCOVER-FINDER2525 Best offer at this point, I just want it to go to a good home. 1k would cover what I have into it now. tim@luvtruckgarage.com if interested. 👍
Looking Good.
Thanks for Watching! 👍
This is awesome! Thanks for putting this together!
Thanks, I have been thinking of making an updated video of Luv channels. I would add your channel in for sure. 👍😎
@@LuvTruckGarage man that would be very much appreciated!
Sure looks like a fun project Tim. I enjoy watching your progress.
Thanks Brian. I dialed in the hood alignment last night and plan on cutting the inner fender panels today.
Cool! Work is done for day, time to cruise! 🛻🌄 Have a good one!
Thanks! You too!
Looking good, sir glad you’re making progress. I called that karate in the garage.
Thanks! I saw your Slamurai in another Mini Nats video. Congrats!
Nice Work, I Got Your Stickers,Thanks Man.

I somehow missed part 1 and 2 but I’m going back to watch them now! 🏁🏁🏁
Thanks Jay 😎👍
im scared to death to start up my 383. tons of cash and a cam meltdown is my greatest fear......great video. thanks!
I know exactly how you feel. Start up is like now or never for an engine. With all the lifter issues these days I doubt I would build another flat tappet engine. Good luck with your 383! 👍🔥
Alright, good progress! 👍 Weather looks perfect. Yesterday here in southern Minnestota, it was humid and 80, I had to go uncover the central air and turn it on. Today it was about perfect, didn't need the ac. Got to open some windows and air it out. Up until yesterday, it's been chilly, I didn't believe them when they said on the weather it was going to be 80, but it was. We have the wierdest weather here sometimes, hardly got any snow this year, which was nice. Only had to use snowblower twice. 🤙
Thanks! Weather has been nice here lately but its going to be hot soon. Our winter was mild too with only one snow event but a lot of cold. Enjoy that good weather and go out and build something! 👍😎
cool, i had 3 LUVs year back78's & 80, my dad had 74, uncle had 72 & best friend had an 80 4x4 with the diesel engine.
That is cool. They are a little addictive.
It will be interesting to follow this project. Thanks Tim.
Thanks Brian!

Do you want to sell that grill and 4 headlight setup?
Not at this time Sorry, I plan to use it.
Back in the day I had a 57 ford. This poor LUV is in sad condition. Looking forward to this project.
Thanks Brian, My neighbor had a sweet 57 Ford. I'm just going to have some fun with this truck.
Very Cool, Every Time i watch Your Videos Makes me Want To get A Chevy Luv Truck.

Thanks, I am going to try and make the most of it. 👍
You seem like a very chill and nice guy :) Love your video. It's so sad that this car is so rusty... Dropped a like for you :)
Thank you, I appreciate it. It spent too much time parked in the woods for sure. 😑
Dealing with the IRS today. Needed a good Luv video. A tilt front end sounds very intriguing for sure. Thanks for the video.
