Love this band. So sad, as my dear ole Mom chucked my bin of letters and postcards from Blake and others- I used to type up letters to friends and bands in the early 90s. I was so excited that he wrote back and let me know when the band was in town. Pumped to get a postcard with a fuzzy yellow duck sticker on it to let me know they were playing at Maxwells, in Hoboken, NJ for the release of 24 Hr Revenge Therapy! What a killer show! Thank you, Blake. The Flowbee rules!!!

Funny that they started their run with a Cat (Unfun) and ended it with a donkey (Dear You). Jawbreaker for life!

saw these guy play a show that was actually cancelled by warner bros after dear you came out , but my my friends were running the venue and told me they were gonna show and play anyways so my gf and i drove down from canada and sure enough they showed up and played straight off the floor for about 30 kids that came just in case the show did happen ...and the first few songs were a bit loose , but by the 4 th tune , they hit a stride and just blew me the fuck away . will never foget them playing this one .. maybe my fave of all . easily one of the best trios i have ever seen and nice guys too ❤️🏆

This Strung Out song "Swan Dive" was dedicated to Jim posthumously. Its off Exile in Oblivion. Strung Out also supposedly wrote about Jim in "Kill Your Scene" off An American Paradox, though that's unconfirmed. But he was still alive then and there was antipathy. Its not a nice song. But then again, neither was "It Ain't Over Yet" by Zero Down. RIP Jim, the best songwriter of his generation

here's something that FEST purists, and gatekeeping 40yr olds who still say "warped tour sucks now" either don't want to hear, or admit if they already know: this is literally Welcome To The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance. same key, mostly the same guitar part, same tempo. blink-182 did something similar with Adam's Song and One by Metallica (but blink changed the tempo, key, and arpeggio pattern) if this is "emo" then so is Welcome To The Black Parade....oh, and to give further clout, that's James DeWees from The Get Up Kids and Reggie And The Full Effect (which Frank Iero from MCR has been a part of) playing the piano part in Welcome To The Black Parade.
