First heard this awesome band, and this awesome song, when I was 22...I was floored...never really knew all the lyrics, but got the gist...now I'm 44, freakin' old lady hearing my roots after a hell of a long time and the tears are streaming down my face...man, they were amazing then and even now hearing them again...never realized it then, but I am so fuckin' glad I saw them...punk is a yucky word, but for the convenience of it, I love my punk/hardcore roots and emo just kinda did it...
DEAR KEER W....I never stopped loving you, I fucked up bad and wished i'd never hurt you. For what its worth I'm clean off heroin again and dream about you often. I hope your little girl is doing well.............
1993 San Francisco: I went to see Scream (with Dave Grohl). An unknown (to me) band opened, Jawbreaker. Love them since then, still after all these years
Love hearing all your stories. I'm from India and 22 so I never got a chance to see them. I was about 15 when I discovered them, but this song always makes me feel like Blake's sitting right next to me and telling me this story and I can totally relate. Reminds me of late nights and smoking out of the window of the apartment hoping my folks don't wake up and catch me pilfering from the booze cabinet. :)
Probably my favorite Jawbreaker song. Saw them perform this at the Gilman Street project in Berkeley not all that long before they broke up. Was great to see them in concert at just that once! Wish it had been more. I agree with the 38 year old, been listening to them for over 20 years and still love them!
If you’re listening to this song and you loved it, you’re inherently cool.
There should be a community for people who love punk rock. We could all be neighbors and blast Jawbreaker @ 2am!
I've never had someone, so I just listen to this amazing song and imagine how my would've been if i wasn't born here and just cry. 😔

FELT SO SWEET
....sigh...water in my eyes...kicking myself for those lost opportunities, and time moves on................
Pure poetry. Call me pretentious but I cannot abide music with shit lyrics and Blake is surely one of the best lyricists ever.
Wish Jawbreaker would be recognized as a great 90's band alongside Nirvana,The Smashing Pumpkins etc.

thank god for all the thoughtful uploading souls on youtube
It's weird that I can listen to a song that I discovered at 13 and it'll spark the same goddamn feelings now that I'm 25.
