    Just out of curiosity - is there a preference for where to purchase your addons? I've previously bought them on Blender Market, but I wonder if you would prefer GumRoad? I don't know about any cut either storefront takes from your profit, but if one is preferred, I'd rather buy there. :)

      @@Ar7ific1al thanks for being considerate;) however both are great, so it's totally up to you. What's best for you. My small endeavor wouldn't be possible without Blender Market though, that's thanks to community and visibility they provide to my tools. So perhaps them;)

    Whats the vert count on these, anyone tried it? They look amazing, but if its like 2000 verts per cross, it might be too heavy for my purposes

    GUYS I FIGURED IT OUT!! open your asset library at the bottom. next open the folder for bridge sculpt. then at the top of the tab in the asset browser there will be a drop down that says things like (link, append, blah blah) go through each one and drag and drop the tool individually onto your object, each time your model dissapears you will need to open the modifiers tab and click x. eventually they will pop up on the page button next to face sets in sculpt mode as shown in the video!! so happy i got it to work lmk if this helped!

    why my fbx imported from clo3d have a warning tha says "the target mesh must have faces"

      @@mateodemarchi3540 most probably it could be UV map name. This tool needs a default Blender name for UV to work which is "UVMap". If that wouldn't solve it please contact me via email, send screens to nodesinteractive@gmail.com

    What is the difference between BeltMaker and BeltMakeAuto?

      Hi, BeltMakerAuto will adjust it's length so it will follow the curve. In future updates BeltMakerAuto will be the main asset and this older BeltMaker will become a legacy feature. So in short BeltMakerAuto is the more flexible faster option.

      I do have circural belts in backlog for future updates, for now you'd need to do it by hand. However I believe it's now much easier with new snapping features. See them here: ruclips.net/video/GR4XRqB8lPk/видео.html

      Hmm, is the scale of the object =1 in the N panel? You could also try reseting FaceSets on the model (Face Set From Visible). I just double checked with Blender 4.3.1 and tool works. Does it also not work if you try it on a primitive in a new scene? Please contact me at nodesinteractive@gmail.com if it still wouldn't work.

    I bought the addon some time ago and the idea is great, but placing the laces is a hell. I which I could rotate the eyelet by itself, but have not been able to find a way to do it, same to make the knot at the end bigger, or maybe is that the documentation does not show how to this. Have not been lucky at all with the addon.

      hey, just choose "append" option, not "append and reuse". "append and reuse" drops assets into scene as instances - which could result in tool being broken if for example you'd apply gsurface modifier and would try to drop another gsurface asset into the scene. those are details, but it's just safer to set import method to "append" for this tool.

    this looks really really good, one question though is it possible to create other type of belt with this addon? like a karate gi fabric belt, not with a buckle but tightening knot ?

      Hi, yes, you can change belt type to flat and change both ends of the belt to be square. Textures and the knot however you'd need to do by hand there is no automation for those. So there's always a question if not to make such mesh just by using curve. Yet the snapping feature that comes with BeltMaker is pretty neat.

    im having a slight issue with this product, none of the shapes seem to be present only the logo and ive followed your instructions to the letter. it seems to only work in the provided file for me and not when I drag and drop from the asset library. I got on the newest version of blender so im not sure what the issue is?

    Do the belts move with rigged armature or do we have to make a real mesh out of them first and weight paint?

      Hi, yes you'd need to apply the modifier, unless you'd only need to parent the belt to some part of mesh and there wouldn't be any deformation.

    Hello, I was checking the part about 3d to pattern and I was wondering if it does the same to any 3d mesh that has UVs even they are not imported from MD? Meaning it will create flat planes even for mesh that is not from marvelous, based on their uvs?

      Hi, yes - just make sure that it has Blender's default UV name which is "UVMap" and it will work.

      Yes, it's important though to avoid sewing more than two patterns to one side. That would confuse this tool. Pretty much like one edge can have only two faces connected otherwise normals will go crazy - if you lets say have three quads meet at one edge. I will be releasing some vids showcasing capabilities of this tool asap. I know it's lengthy answer to a simple question, just wanted make clear those technical aspects.

    This is a neat addon, but I don't understand why creating the plane mesh, which is by far the most time consuming workflow - can't be automated. The script already knows the snapping points, all the required information should already exist in the system

      It is a plan for the future, however the system is very complex and with more intricate patterns gets even more tricky so for it to be reliable the planes are easiest and most flexible way to go. I think calling it most time consuming is unfair compared to other solutions;) Anyways an update is in the works, will share some more info about it asap.

      @@beltmaker Oh of course, I didn't mean that your addon's workflow is the most time consuming, I meant that building the plane mesh is the most time consuming part in the addon, so targeting it would like quadruple the value of the addon :) Glad to hear about the update!     Does this only work with MD imports? Can you use it with clothing built in blender itself?

      Hi, as long as the clothing has UVs it will work. If you can create UVs that will be in the shape of the patterns similarly to MD, you're good to go.

      Hi, Retopo Planes is designed to work with simulated garments that have UVs in the shape of patterns. So as long as the mesh has UVs it will work either if it's from MD or any other software, however this tool is designed for clothes, so if you're also asking if it's good for other types of objects like props etc. - for that I would think of other solutions like Retopoflow and such, but you can of course prove me wrong.
