Demand side flexibility, a nice descriptive term and for many consumers (home based and low ev use) justifies the investment and monetises the asset. In these early stages it is rather challenging obtaining 1st hand information from manufacturers about their V2h, v2m, v2g, v2b, v2x platform capabilities. Which means purchasing with hope of v2x capability is speculative. For such an asset class this seems entirely unsatisfactory and potentially wasteful. More leadership at a political level on this subject is sorely needed to help consumers recognise and make informed consumer choices, help future proof such a significant investments, and help drivers contribute to environmental and personal ambitions.
