GB Ultra Scotland 56-mile Ultramarathon

From St John's Town of Dalry to Moffat, the GB Ultra's Scotland 50 race follows the Southern Upland Way for 56 miles across the wonderfully remote hills and countryside of sothern Scotland. I have ran this section of the SUW in the past as part of the Race Across Scotland, but it is a very different race because of the increased pace and the fact it's usually dark when I reach St John's Town.

The Montane Winter Spine Race 2024

Everything I've ever done has led to this event - Britain's most brutal ultramarathon. 268 miles along the Pennine Way in the depth of winter. This race is a massive undertaking and has taken months of preparation. Do I have what it takes to reach the finish line in Kirk Yetholm, up to a full week after leaving Edale at 8am on Sunday 14th January. #spinerace #runnerrossco #pennineway

This is the fourth time I've ran this particular ultra, with previous attempts in 2014, 2015 and 2016. Despite being almost ten years older than my first time (which was also my first eve...

@@martinweston8147 I’d highly recommend having a support crew. They can be the difference between a finish and a DNF. Arranging to meet your crew in between check points breaks the race into much more manageable sections and allows to have an impromptu rest and refuel where those without a crew might not get the chance.

There are lots of workspaces. Such as 1.Title and description are not seo friendly 2. No hashtag research 3. tags are too short 4. No high ranked targeted keywords If you solve the problem I think you can see lots of organic traffic and get more views and subscribers in your channel. Great film Ross..love seeing the suw in all its glory and toughness..really inspiring to see your determination despite the struggles you where having..after all you've done this past few years you've nothing to prove to anyone and the future can be whatever you want it to be.. your rapid rise through the distances to the expedition ultras is remarkable..you and other runners inspired me to try stuff that was beyond me and sometimes I managed to get to the end and sometimes didn't but learnt some wonderful lessons.. ultrarunning is a tough event and whilst it offers the most possibilities for runners to explore ourselves the price is high because there's nowhere to hide out there in the middle of the struggle..you're young enough to take a break and come back to races whenever you want ..there's something magical about ultramarathons ( for me) that whatever the outcome of a challenge they made me a peaceful more resilient person, a better dad and husband, and able to deal with everyday life problems in a much less hassled way.. and you can't put a price on that.. it's what life and running is all about.. it’s a pilgrimage.God bless you Ross.. and good luck which whatever comes next.. 💙
