I've recently found your channel & I must take my hat off to you. I love the 24hrs at videos & total respect to you for doing this, and the bingo sheet brings added interest. The Diggle diaries are, like all your videos, interesting & packed with content. No need to apologise for the quality in the early morning stages of your 24hr videos. To me, the quality is fantastic, the action is great, the diversity of traction is spectacular & the way you film it is excellent. I live in Plymouth, Devon & sadly we don’t get a tenth of the freight workings you bring us. However, having now watched all of your videos (honestly, I have!) I am a lot more than impressed. All enthusiasts have said they will do a night or 24hrs at a station but you do it with humour, style & generate great interest. Congratulations on the amount of followers you have. Yes, I have subscribed, liked & look forward to your next offering. 👏👏👏👏👏

Many years ago, at the beginning of my railway career, i had to "tie"two these up as one had failed at Greenhill Upper.

Great video. One of the best yet. The snow & ice may be a general pain in the arse on a day to day basis but it certainly makes the trains look good. Lots of great footage. What was the WCR 37 up to right at the end? Stalybridge to Grindleford?...

At 1020 we see a rake of Swordfish, these were originally built as Monster Boxes in 2000 and resembled today’s Mussel Ballast wagon but persistent problems with overloading resulted in the body side being cut down to a 3rd of it’s height made it suitable for ballast/spoil work.

At 1938 we see a rake of Hawk’s, these were converted from Side Tipper Sets in 2024 to replace the Lobster fleet.

At 09:00 -0915 the rake of apparently modern MXA Lobster wagons acre actually rebuilt from late 1970’s BDA wagons that were themselves converted from vacuum braked/piped bolsters built in the 1950’s, to air brakes and fitted with Y25 roller bearing bogie sets with approximately 1/2 equipped with disc brakes/wheel hand brakes and the other half brake blocks/lever hand brakes, the conversion to Lobsters occurring 10 years ago at DB’s Stoke Wagon Works who were also converting FYA container flats built in 2001 at York Wagon Works to FYA Tench civil engineers wagons to replace the EWS 1990’s conversions of ex BR 1960’s built FFA/FGA container flats which had ousted the 1950’s built low floored Tench and Sturgeon wagons.

If you’ve wondering why 66’s start roaring before the train actually moves is because the driver hasn’t waited until the brakes on the rear wagon have released

Yet another cracker Luke - I know snow is a pain to get around in but it makes everything look so good - not much these days can beat a 37 on a unit drag surrounded by the white stuff! The drone footage was spectacular - as was the rest of the filming, top work again!

Brilliant as always Luke , loved the night shots in the snow . Credit to all drivers in those conditions . Yeh when I was out last 5 layers , hat and gloves and still cold but worth it. Looking forward to part 2 .
