i am watching this on January 1st 2025 and my TBR goal for the year is 100 books happy reading

My reading goal is usually 30 books, but I tend to complete that by March already so this year I decided to jump up to 50 and then increase depending on how I'm doing. My bookish new year resolution is to finish every series I've started in the past. We'll see how that goes lmao (probably poorly)

its almost midnight on new years eve (so fun~) i want to read 30 book next year i read 27 books this year! and i hit my wish of 18...i did it, also it sounded like a good idea at the time lol

My one little word for next year, aka tomorrow, is habits. My habits will lead the way this coming year! Also, I want to read 20 books. This will be a stretch for me, as I have kiddos, but it’s worth stating!

I am located in the Mid-Peninsula of the Bay Area of California. During this reading vlog, I was starting a book you talked about, Hollow Heathens, available in Kindle Unlimited. I was imagining Heathens who were hollow inside, bereft of feeling, but no, I think they’re referring to heathens who live in a strange town in Maine, called Weeping Hollow.

My reading goal is to read 50 books and one of my goal is to join a book club ❤

Thank you for so many great book recommendations. I really liked One Dark Window as well. Looks as though I will finish my reading year with 146 books (55,294 pages), unless I finish another book tomorrow. I got on a JFK kick and read 23 books about him and his presidency. My favorite book of the year was James by Percival Everett. My favorite fantasy book was probably Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik. My favorite autobiography was Sonny Boy by Al Pacino, but I loved The Third Gilmore Girl by Kelly Bishop as well. Happy New Year. 🥳

I read a lot of British history this year. Goodreads did not pickup all of my books but I just finished my 120th book of the year on Kindle and around 20 physical books. I am going to try to list my physical books on Goodreads next year to keep track of them.

I really like the bright colours; the reading wrap up and the social aspect of Fable. It is definitely my favourite reading tracker app. I also use Storygraph and I like the charts and insights. I am the complete opposite of you, I am a harsh critic. My average rating is 3.4 stars. And very rarely do I give a five star but then I don't do 6 stars so maybe that's why? Maybe most people's 5 stars will be my 4 stars(?) My favourite reads of the year were Past Present Future by Rachel Lynn Solomon, The Breakup Pact by Emma Lord, The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston, Anne of Avonlea by L.M. Montgomery and of course my Jane Austen re reads, Sense and Sensibility, Lady Susan, Northanger Abbey and Emma. Ah well, I always end up typing too long. Thanks for the video💜

I’m using StoryGraph for the same reason you mentioned and there is so much more you can do on StoryGraph e.g. do buddy read. Fourth wing was my introduction to fantasy and I can’t wait for onyx storm to be released, I may reread lron flame again ❤

Your issues with your Kindle reminded me recently that I went through something super similar. All of a sudden my Kindle Paperwhite froze! The screen wouldn’t respond, buttons wouldn’t do anything, I tried to reset it. Coincidentally this was also around the time the new Kindle Colorsoft was out and I was debating on getting one (and was watching your reviews 😊). Thankfully, no issues since then Your voice and how you speak is super calming to me. Love your videos!

I just added so many of these books to my kindle to check out! I didn’t meet my goal this year. I’m a mom of 3 and something I’ve realized over the years about my reading is that if I haven’t met goal by December, I’m not going to. 😅 It’s just too busy of a month and I’m so worn out that if I don’t work at prioritizing reading then it doesn’t naturally happen. Overall I enjoyed my reading year and even knocked two off my bucket list books to read - Jaws & The Exorcist.

I just got myself the 2024 12th gen paperwhite and I’m so excited!!! I read anywhere from 45-90 books a year so it’s gonna be great to have a fast kindle! You make me want to start a reading channel too!

Quicker, clearer, bigger, longer lasting battery. Any bigger, and I will have to buy new handbags or revert to using Samsung Galaxy S6 tablet Now, the bit that really pings me off. The time of day is no longer displayed on the top of the page I am reading. I have to physically draw down to read the time. Until I switched over, I had no idea I glanced up to the time so often. But then I read at every opportunity, at least a book a day, while waiting for friends, planes, taxis, etc A minor irritant is the time out option of 5, 10, 60 minutes. So now I have to get into the habit of closing the book

So far watching this channel has me wanting a Nespresso, an Advent calendar and a Matcha Kindle, and maybe a mag ring pop socket. I need none of these things 😅

Well what would have made more sense if you lined up the MagSafe ring with the wireless charging coil. That way you could pop it on a MagSafe charger to charge it as well. Maybe it would’ve been less convenient of a spot for the other accessories but feel like overall that would be useful

I am just starting Funny Story on audio . I have tried to read Emily Henry before and havent enjoyed it but I wanted to give her another try. I normally dont read Fantasy BUT in January I am going to try and read Fourth Wing. I read so many good books in 2024- a few of them were A Happier Life, the Housemaid series, First Lie Wins, When Ashes Fall, They Stalk The Night, Bloom and SO many more .

My 2019 kindle has been slow and glitchy ever since the 2024 versions came out. I'm just suffering through it because I refuse to be manipulated 😂
