Can CONCACAF and COMNEBOL merge into 1 confederation (like in FIBA Americas)? Because soon when FIFA World Cup expand to 64, probably in 2050, it would qualify alnost all COMNEBOL nations like 8 to automatic qualify and 2 to play-offs but with 55 CONCACAF nations would make at least on a paper "much harder" to beat and would make both Americas tougher (or at least one). CONCACAF now have 6 slots for 2026 so merge with COMNEBOL, which would have in 2030 also 6 slots, will reduce (make harder, difficult, competitive) CONCACAF nations chances to qualify in 2026. Take in count, COMNEBOL have 10 nations, CONCACAF only to competitive teams such USA and Mexico, so that is 12/12. But if you take into account 2 play-off great chances for Costa Rica, Haiti, Cuba, Jamaica to qualify.

CONCACAF is obviously trash. USA and mexico are average teams. Everything else is low quality

I always hear the Concacaf is the weakest federation but I think that the Asian federation is the weakest. The only teams that are challenging are Japan, Korea, and Australia. And to be honest from those three only Japan is the strongest since they have a developing team unlike korea or australia that depend on two or three players to carry. Concaf is a little more harder for example we just saw the win honduras had in their home against Mexico. We are also seeing improvement on teams like Panama, Jamaica, Canada, and even Honduras.

The confederation is the weakest after Oceania. Mexico and the USA suck in front of real competition. They should join Conmebol.

Your support means everything. Finally regarding what was said I still stand by it and 2 things to touch upon. The first being the idea that new teams are getting better and that isn't true. Teams such as Jamaica, Panama, and Costa Rica have been doing well for many years that's not new. Jamaica are 2 time Gold cup finalist, Panama are 3 time Gold Cup finalist, and Costa Rica are 3 time CONCACAF champions. Teams doing well aren't the point, what matters is that good teams have a legitimate chance of winning, and the majority of times what happens is that those teams take on the USA, who have home field advantage or Mexico who is basically playing in their 2nd home (USA). In football even the smallest of advantages can make the biggest of differences and the United States has been hosting the Gold Cup for over 30 years straight. Them having home field advantages gives them the illusion that they are dominant and when they go into Copa America, World cup qualifying or the World cup it's then that they wake up to reality. Panama or Jamaica might win the ongoing nations league, but even then my point will stand as those teams could have won even more had they had the opportunity to host the big finals which USA has had the privilege's of hosting for over 30 years and counting. In terms of results on the World Stage, CONCACAF has only gotten worst from 2014 when Costa Rica got to the Quarter Finals, and USA and Mexico got to the round of 16.
