Does anyone know if the cover of “Southern harmony and musical companion” is an homage to The Band’s brown album? The covers have the same lay out-black and white photo of the 5 band members on the same brown background. It is also the second album for both bands. Are the similarities deliberate or just a random coincidence?

I've always loved Black Crowes which is why I'm surprised I've never heard this cover. It stands up to every other cover of this song. It's almost like a rite of passage for blues rockers and I don't mind a bit.
