although i am much more cautious when new people come into my life now in the past i have been a magnet for narcissist. in the beginning i try to give people the benefit of the doubt and have let my guard down. coverts can be just the opposite of there persona...being perceptive and intuitive and with the help of the holy spirit i eventually figure things out but not before i have gone through the ringer.

Whoa, all these points about all this hits me hard. I tried seeking help at church but instead was told the same thing, I need to be more forgiving and loving, while slowly going insane. My anxiety hit peak levels and I had so much buried inside. I felt so much pressure to do what I was told but inside I was so burned out and burdened. I ended up finding a secular psychologist for therapy and joining a group to deal with my “nice guy” syndrome of people pleasing. Church did the opposite to me, I became more of a people pleaser. I had to learn to say “no”, to express myself, and to have open communication. Years later I still have problems in that I go to church but can’t talk about how I’m trying to grow, like overcoming fears or trying to heal from abuse. I’m learning scripture from sermons but there’s no deep emotional growth and healing with the people. Meaning there needs to be a group where we get together to make a conscious effort to grow. Instead I went to a mixed group that the majority are new agers, and can talk about things more openly there. I also feel uneasy with the pastor because he can be very cold, for example at church a phone call came in that someone just died and tears burst out as someone’s father died. After a quick prayer, the pastor begins talking about something totally unrelated as if nothing happened…

I hold no resentment, but have learned to be wise. Gentle as a dove, wise as a snake. Yep he hated seing me talking to other co workers. Yes! I have that experience with a father who has zero artistic skills. He literally destroyed hundreds of my paintings and then decides he is the artist and paints this garbage and covers his garage walls with 40 plus paintings on canvas. And then he tells me that I should market him. That is the abbreviated story. It's actually much worse. Its true! These narcissists are absolutely mind bending evil. The stuff the do is crazy. The copy cat, steal your identity thing is exactly my experience!

Narcissists defile (cheat, steal, betray) you in some way then associate you with being bad, defective or immoral in their mind. They then blame you for their behavior so they can see themselves as good. It’s crazy making to say the least and very emotionally and mentally damaging to the victim.

Excellent video! This channel is speaking to the subjects that are core and other channels just seem to never get to. This is key. When we realize and internalize the truth, that the narcissist who abuses us is the same abuser that doesn't love us when they treat us ok. . .. when we realize this person who abuses us does not love us at all, we can disconnect and step back and make better decisions. It's the start of healing program where we begin to discover who we are and the love that God has for us in Christ Jesus!
