Taking you along as I try to go from Cornhole beginner to Cornhole novice and have fun doing it. I have played here and there over the years, but have finally decided to actually learn the game. I will be working on technique, upgrading equipment, and hopefully entering a few tournaments!

With the American Cornhole World Championships going on, I am really thinking about better practice drills for next year so I can get out there and participate in either the ACO or ACL to try and make it to their final event. Cornhole practice, especially by yourself, can be challenging. I think I have found a way to add a little variety to my practice routing and get better at the same time. C...

I own mostly Reynolds bags and usually bring 4 different sets. Pro-x (traditional carpet on slow), Renegades (herringbone), Thunder (R carpet), and Fracture (non-carpet, fast bag). Those cover all conditions, but lately been favoring the Thunder as it seems not many people can throw flat so that helps a little and they play well in all conditions.
Thanks for sharing!
This also a head game, Confidence is key. Just like in fishing, when nothing is hitting my go-to color lur its time to switch. I've noticed I can lose confidence in one set of bags and switching up can fix it. All in my head, but whatever it takes.
Accurate take, thank you
4 sets. Fast, slow, middle and middle fast. That’s my usual. I end up throwing 1 set most of the time though
Good stuff
Vallie Knolls
Nice shirt! Where did you get that!? I am from Texas but moved to Iowa, and man, I miss fishin for reds and trout. Fish up here are so small lol
My buddy has a lifestyle brand, red bull gave him a cease and desist for this design though 😪🤣
I am try get better soon bc i have game next week i been paly 5 years and i never get in champions gmae for 5years
I am definitely a stepper, mainly for the reasons you suggested. I tried standing still but I could not really judge my back swing and front release properly. Plus I didn’t enjoy it. I am back to stepping and will work on improving that. I also like how you throw a flat bag without your hand completely facing up. I am still trying to throw the flat bag.
Thanks for sharing!
Looks good to me bro
Appreciate it
Ive never thrown ‘pro’ bags before, only the lind you get with a plain set from Amazon. The amazon bags are supposed to be’regulation’ size and weight but they’re also loose and floppy. Is there a huge benefit to throwing these ‘pro’ bags?
Absolutely, the feel and control are night and day different
Ultra and Fire
🙌
Ive never played with the expensive regulation bags. $75-$95 for a set of 4. They dont seem to be as loose and floppy as the bags you get say from Amazon set. Do these expensive bags throw better than a ‘run of the mill’ bag?
Much better, especially after a short break in process
How do they feel when trying to roll them? I see the Impact is a 5/8 verses the Ronin at 6/8. I'm still working on consistently rolling well.
I suck at rolling, but the carbon and impact seem more apt for that than the ronin
Will be in tulsa bentonville Fayetteville and branson lets do it
Boom, lets goooo
World's will be in Tulsa super close to you. I wish our schedule lined up
Absolutely pushing to qualify once I saw that
@@cornholenoob same here
Are you allowed to pinch the corner of the bag to throw it?
Yes
@@cornholenoob thanks
I'm in Fayetteville. New to cornhole. I am thinking of doing some Majors : Fort Smith, Branson, and some in Texas depending on my family schedule. Give me a shout if you need a partner.
Boom! I'm in Fayetteville too, lets play in Ft Smith in Dec
@@cornholenoob Oh I didn't realize you had been playing for a year already. I am super new. I don't even know how to keep score yet. You dont want me for a partner, but I am thinking of coming to the lodge to do the Wednesday night league maybe I'll see you there and pick your brain about tips.
I’m new to cornhole in Fayetteville if you ever need a partner
Hit me up
Love using the skinny boards they will increase your PPR dramatically
Working wonders
I play mostly just local stuff. Minnesota seems semi- resistant to large cornhole organizations. ACO tried coming here, nobody went. ACL does quite a few events that get a decent turnout but there are a lot of people here that refuse to play in an ACL event. I always watch both on streaming though and like both. I feel like ACO looks more fun and has a lot of great players like the Hurt boys and Gary Bearpaw to name a few of many. ACL has the cream of the crop in talent but a lot of the bigger events seem less social.
I love the vibe of aco events, I'm not there looking for big payouts, just fun and solid competition
We got Spanish text to speech before gta 6💀
👀
Very boring A game for the overweight people. It’s a Hick game
100% fact I can do more push ups than you
But fair point 🤣
If you end up in Chicago I'll run some doubles with you
🙌👊
@cornholenoob hey brother enjoy your video's and because of you I've went almost all in on the CBC bag's have 7 lines!!!!
I might play Clarksville since that's the CBC Boys location, I played the Knoxville Major last year probably will again this January if you decide 12 hour's ain't too far lol
This stinks after watching your reviews I was gonna order the vector and the ronin. They changed designs for next season. Can’t get ones with your graphics anymore. Do you know what other website sells cbc?
Hit them up, they do customs and might do some retros
Thanks for the insight bro Awesome video
Thank you!
😂
Are you heading out to Ventura CA for the Throwdown tournament this weekend?
I am not, gearing up for tournament season though
Yeah that was funny
Love the skinny boards! what are the actual dimensions of the board top and bottom? curious the difference to a standard board. love your cornhole content.
18" at the front, narrows at the back
Thanks@@cornholenoob
Where should I get a training board for myself?
I linked one in description
do you have a link for that exact board?
Locally made, but this one is basically the same titancornholebags.com/hotshot/?sku=HOTSHOT-TE&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwq_G1BhCSARIsACc7NxpSZYzJVlvMQVocxY_fNj7F237vVg4w5GEbsrM16itr8mo5G1tuLewaAjRwEALw_wcB
I step. It feels better being I come from basketball and I used to take steps to dunk. The steps feel comfortable
I remember being able to dunk 😭🥲
You’re not following through on your shots. I do the same thing and have been trying to train myself to keep a flat hand out after release. My accuracy approves if I can continue to do it. But as I fatigue I start to forget and not follow through. Love your videos man keep up the good work
It's my biggest struggle, one of these days!
That's all I practice on is skinny boards. You should get at least a 1 point increase in your PPR
I don’t see that trainer board anywhere in the description, help.
Oh no, let me double check
titancornholebags.com/hotshot/
@@cornholenoobgot it! Love your videos they are helping me a lot, keep up the good work!
I have one of those trainer boards. they are an incredible help. I’ve played a couple games on mine and it definitely helps you stay in the middle.
It has been night and day different
Hate to say it about myself, but if I'm throwing poorly, I'm not having fun. If I'm throwing bad and win, still no fun. If I'm throwing good and lose, i might have fun. But if I'm not throwing well, there is no fun to be had for me.
Fair take
Good tips. find ways to make yourself uncomfortable by playing better players or going to bigger tournaments. It will help make you less nervous when you play tournaments
Love this
Or those the js on the feet sheeesh
Old man Js hit different
There are two tips that I use in every game I play that I don't really see mentioned in other videos. One is to focus on your breathing. Take a couple deep breaths and really focus on your shot. And my biggest tip that works for me is to not watch your opponent throw. Players tend to "follow" where their opponents throw and sometimes it works in your favor but if you just look away when they throw, all you see is the board and how you need to throw. I tell all my teammates that and they've all said that both tips help tremendously. Keep the videos coming!!!
Greats tips
I don't tend to follow people's bags but i do see it all the time. It's like we're ingrained to chase.
10,000 hours of focused practice will make you an expert...don't sell yourself short you good
👊👊👊
Mat guy uses fire bsgs so id say they good
Yes sir
Is thst guy
Gary Bearpaw
I just started this june hope i do good
U will
A little game we play is that you have to score 6 points before your score counts really push you too hit points. So max points in a round 6 if you hit 4 bagger
That's cool
hello sir, im from philippines and im really interested in playing cornhole and introduce it here.
It's a worldwide game for sure
I videoed myself throwing so I could see what I was doing wrong and it helped immensely! Keep up the great videos I enjoy them very much.
That's awesome, thanks for checking out my vids
Absolutely love my ronins
Good video, you hit on something very important ,posture, having your shoulders squared, and your feet pointed at the hole throughout the entire throw is key.
Absolutely, thank you for the comment
Thank you. Appreciate your video.
You are welcome!
Im reminded of the scene from Last Samurai... "Too many mind" Mind the feet, mind the hole, mind the grip, mind the backswing, mind the wind, mind the jokers,,, Too Many Mind. No Mind! Actually your simple advice is spot on.
