If you can visit New York, where would you like to go? also, thank you for watching. Vlogs are always a bit harder to record and edit for me, so this was a huge learning experience
Hi Sean, I randomly came across your video, and I am so glad I got to watch it. I will be visiting New York this late April and watching your video made me so much more excited!!
Hi Claudia! Thank you so much for the kind comment. This really means a lot to me. New York will be fun! I would really recommend trying your best to keep an open-mind and try to meet some locals. They may seem unfriendly at first, but you'll definitely find a few that are kind and open-hearted.
Thank you sm for this video Sean! i have never tried traveling alone, but i think its kinda suits me. Wish one day i gonna have enough money and time to travel to such distant places like America or Asia
I was born here and have been here my entire life. NYC is beautiful, but not great. It is no longer a place with grit and charm. Tourists give a false narrative about the city being a place of diverse groups living in wonderland and it is not. Get on the train during rush hour and you will meet some of the rudest people. Come to Flatbush brooklyn or Fordham in the Bronx and then come back with your fairytail. You don't know the real NYC. You are a priviledged person who will never dare step in the real NYC. Once we hit the danger zone, which we are getting to, you'll run to your priviledged home.
Of course a tourist's perspective of any location will be different than the local. Never did I really claim that the city is "great", that's why instead of writing "city of dreams" I wrote city for those that dare to dream. I stayed in Harlem and saw a lot of issues. But the truth is, there's two types of people in the world, one that tries to look for positivity, art, and beauty. And one that highlights negativity and tragedy. I am definitely more along the lines of the first group. I'm sure you'll be able to find lots of content online that can help you feel related towards your experience of NYC. Coming to this video and then making assumptions about me is not worth your time or mine.
😍
