Milleniumforce, you take rail fandom to a whole new level. I love watching your videos with all the observations from different locations. There's always something interesting going on.
Nicely done. I like the two-camera effect a lot. I wonder why the signal dropped. Maybe some dispatcher messed up? The train stopped faster than I thought it would. Maybe 'cause it was empties.
when a train goes into emergency it's called a semaphore penalty meaning a train went through a red light or it exceeded over the speed limit in this case it went through a red light but it couldn't stop fast enough when the light changed to red
the two camera effects was a good touch... as if turning your head to watch the train... and as some have said... the time it took for the train to stop was quit impressive...
haha awsome vid and it's real cool to see the green box cars! from the company I have worked for almost 20 Years! They haul rolls of paper in them! ;-)
Ive seen a few of your videos on trains, I think you love doing this and I see myself viewing all of them with interest and pleasure , keep up the great work !
how did the train stop so fast. looking at how fast it was going I thought i'd tale a mile to stop? I saw somewhere even with emengercy break it can can still take a while to stop. I commented before he told the reason why it stopped. So it was a SPAD emergency breaking?
you stop across the street from one of the Embassy suites in Washington D.C because there is an amtrak and metro station. Frieght go through there constantly.
Just a quick question : when all of the brake dust clouds the air, around the train, do the operators have self contained breathing apparatus to their avail ?
I live in the central part of the US, near the Iowa/Illinois border and I-74. We get a nice amount of trains. Rail traffic is pretty good. Got a small train yard and an old wooden pole as a crossing near I-74, then a newer crossing to the right.
+Millenniumforce *Any update on the cause of the brake lock-up at Folkston, GA?* An air-line failure is a common suspect - that's what doomed Illinois Central engineer John Luther Jones to death by a thousand shivers at Vaughan, MS, when the north freight was unable to move in time for the "sawing" manoeuvre needed for Train 1 to halt on the primary track in the yard for passenger embark/debark before proceeding to Canton, MS. Physical failure of one or more cars is another; CSX had that coupler fracture a few years ago, and the Norfolk Southern had to scrap a hopper after the entire coupler box ripped loose from the frame.
It's not that difficult to tell when you see a train moving at moderate speed come to a screeching halt. That's not normal and you hear them in th video saying "something happened" so yeah, he knows. Most people who are into trains can tell almost right away. And couple that with tj fact he has a radio where he can listen to transmissions from the train engineers.
Two comments, you guys are absolutely nuts LOL and that in fact that you're using with two screens and train going in and coming back on it I don't know what angle right angles? But that's cool
But you were behind him when he stopped. To get to "one mile ahead of the train", you would still need to travel over one mile in 15 minutes. That's 240 mph.
Hunter is doing great if your a shareholder as I am! I also love that after all these years of harassment and job cuts.... the management is getting the karma they deserve!!
Awww. This thread makes me kinda sad. My kids get so much joy out of beating the trains to the bridge and waving at them as they pass under. Sorry if we're ridiculous, but they think you guys are the coolest. Thanks for waving and honking anyway. :)
why do they use those horns every time? here in the Netherlands horn are never used by railroad crossings, and special in city,s with these horns, can you even sleep at night ?
Albert Timmer Federal railroad administration requires you blow 2 long 1 short and 1 long for each grade crossing, been that way in the states for over 150 years.
Signal went from green to red just before the engineer got to the signal? My great uncle would have done a *controlled deceleration to stop* . Not dumped air which could have derailed the train (unlikely) or caused flat spots on wheels.
They don't lock up the wheels they come close tho... or if it's raining/snowing out then they will.... the only thing that really could happen when thrown into emergency is overheat the wheels and cause them to warp a bit
AND END OF CHASE All GANG of millionaforce WE DID IT WE DID IT WOOO WE DID IT Millionaforce : wait a muintue wait a minute WAIT FOR MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Must of been a load of MTs. When I railroaded if you got a red light thrown in your face you'd better big hole that sucker. Pretty sure signals are better these days, that was 40 years ago.
For a freight that was a quick stop
Emilio Conejero well it was empty and every car has individual braking so pretty normal stop i would say
it was still fast anyway.
1:23 cool camera trick. great video
Milleniumforce, you take rail fandom to a whole new level. I love watching your videos with all the observations from different locations. There's always something interesting going on.
pretty impressive how fast that train stopped
Nicely done. I like the two-camera effect a lot.
I wonder why the signal dropped. Maybe some dispatcher messed up?

KutWrite if it wasn’t empty the driver would’ve been fired or something
Nice rail footage with a lot of great filming !!
NICE Video!!! I'm exited to see you in Saginaw Texas on May 27 2017

Fist time viewer. Great video ,liked the side by side view. Just subbed.... ED.
now that's what I call real family time!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
The first scene and the last one of the train making a loop affect of the two cameras was awesome. Nice job and great video.
Love your video's as always you have FUN doing them and that is what it's all about. WELL DONE.
when a train goes into emergency it's called a semaphore penalty meaning a train went through a red light or it exceeded over the speed limit in this case it went through a red light but it couldn't stop fast enough when the light changed to red
C David, I know. It sounds bad. But it was a mechanical error.
3:27 The railroad crossing sign is reversed and says “Crossing Railroad”
woxof6969 ikr
Holy Chalupa, that train sure put the binders on when that thud popped up. Great video as always and keep them comin', Alan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the two camera effects was a good touch... as if turning your head to watch the train... and as some have said... the time it took for the train to stop was quit impressive...
You nailed to to / from camera angles.... on both set-ups... Very Nice!!!
I love the dual view you do, it is very nice.
Whal I'll be! I did not know trains could go around corners like that! ;-)Rooster
Rooster it didnt go on a turn it looks like that because he has two camers look like its it turn
;-)
Rooster he using 2 different camera angles.
Are you a RJR, Pegasus Rooster?
really no kidding trainwrecker!!!!!! you sure popped a lot of people's bubble.lol.
haha awsome vid and it's real cool to see the green box cars! from the company I have worked for almost 20 Years! They haul rolls of paper in them! ;-)
Awesome video - really enjoyed the split screen. Nicely done... thank you for that. p.s. you guys in the end, what a hoot, lol
Ive seen a few of your videos on trains, I think you love doing this and I see myself viewing all of them with interest and pleasure , keep up the great work !
Are you stopping by Folkston on tour?
That is so cool with the dual cam Alan!! Keep it up!!
Hi
*Yells out the Window* HEY!!!!!!! YOU FORGOT THE JUICE!!!!!!!!!
wow great catch
Thanks for all of your videos!!!!
i like the dual video also really neat
awesome video. sweet catch. it help's to have a Rail scanner.
how did the train stop so fast. looking at how fast it was going I thought i'd tale a mile to stop? I saw somewhere even with emengercy break it can can still take a while to stop.
I commented before he told the reason why it stopped. So it was a SPAD emergency breaking?
Nicely done. The angles and splicing of the cameras give it a good look.
where do i get a radio like that, i cant seem to find them
NICE pace! He really put the pedal to the metal once he got going again ...
1 harmless quick question. Dose ur family only rely on the money you get from you tube only.
Amazing how quickly such a long train going at that speed managed to stop! I want to put a horn like that on my scooter. :) 67 carriages!
È deragliato?
Was the last locomotive what they call a slug?
I like the dual video. That's a nice touch!
When a train breaks away do they have a alert in the cab ?
Both ends automatically go in emergency, the back end has resuvour tanks for emergency air brakes
It stoped pretty fast and nice video and cacth
What frequency do I need to listen on for this?
Love your camera set up
It is perfect video. 4 locomotives, this is amazing.
you stop across the street from one of the Embassy suites in Washington D.C because there is an amtrak and metro station. Frieght go through there constantly.
Did the signal turn red?
How did they get the train turned around? First, it's going left to right on the screen. Next, it's going right to left. Weird!
Hey! Are you going to Maryland?
Just a quick question : when all of the brake dust clouds the air, around the train, do the operators have self contained breathing apparatus to their avail ?
That was a quickie
Wow just the speed its impossible not to imagine the heat left on those tracks👍
What camara do you use to record becouse i want to start a raifanning channel?
Samsung WB350F 1080 HD
I had them specialty made and sold to the public last month.
Millenniumforce thats cool
I live in the central part of the US, near the Iowa/Illinois border and I-74. We get a nice amount of trains. Rail traffic is pretty good. Got a small train yard and an old wooden pole as a crossing near I-74, then a newer crossing to the right.
loved the angled effect !
B. C. Schmerker I
Great camera shots!
wow u seem to Know when each train goes into emergency
Jeffrey Yatkowski this is after he made the vid so of course he knows when it goes into emergency
Delaware railfan this guy knows what's wrong with the train because he has a radio that connects the locomotives frequency
Surprisingly trucky considering how much train there was?
90 degree turns are awesome.
The way the cameras were set up fucked with my head when the train was going through
Vow. Nice camera work.
That's really impressive that it can stop that fast actually.
So that's how you make a 90 degree turn at 100 mph lol !!! :)
why did it go into emergency?
Two comments, you guys are absolutely nuts LOL and that in fact that you're using with two screens and train going in and coming back on it I don't know what angle right angles? But that's cool
The engineer hit emergency brake directly or set autobrake into emergency position?
Tom Smith no one knows besides the engineer
Nice camera work!
is this the second time you've seen a train in emergency
Great video!
Check out the brake smoke. Can't believe it came to a stop as fast as it did.
How did you travel far enough to be one mile ahead of the train, in only 15 minutes?
He had to stop to let another train pass him. It is a single track every 5 miles then goes double.
But you were behind him when he stopped. To get to "one mile ahead of the train", you would still need to travel over one mile in 15 minutes. That's 240 mph.
If he is traveling 50 and I am doing 60 I can pass him in 3 minutes a mile long.
guess my corolla does 240 mph
Not if you start out behind him, and he is doing 50 mph in the same direction as you are doing 60 mph.
I did not know a train could turn that sharp a corner.
'Love the split screen!
As an conductor for csx....we laugh at the RR buffs standing at crossing taking pics and videos...lol
Good video!
I like train videos on RUclips 👍
the train was really going fast at first
why do they use those horns every time? here in the Netherlands horn are never used by railroad
crossings, and special in city,s with these horns, can you even sleep at night ?
Albert Timmer
Federal railroad administration requires you blow 2 long 1 short and 1 long for each grade crossing, been that way in the states for over 150 years.
Thanks for your answer, like i said it is not common in Europe. It is a very nice clip you posted here !! Greets from the Netherlands !
Is the Fred signed
Kool bi view
I almost thought it was going to be another broken knuckle. Still you can't go through a red light or signal. Driver wasn't obeying the signals.
Signal went from green to red just before the engineer got to the signal? My great uncle would have done a *controlled deceleration to stop* . Not dumped air which could have derailed the train (unlikely) or caused flat spots on wheels.
Yay we did it no wait no wait HEY WAIT FOR ME
The last cart of the csx train
Diller
Sounded like they flatten a lot of wheels when he stopped.
They don't lock up the wheels they come close tho... or if it's raining/snowing out then they will.... the only thing that really could happen when thrown into emergency is overheat the wheels and cause them to warp a bit
A hummingbird was checking out the camera in the beginning.
Awesome video!
If you notice the tanker at the back derailed
this is the first time.I saw any train.go in emrgncy
That camera positioning is near perfect.
I used to live right next to a main line heard when a train went to emergency man Is loud and just stop.
As I thought.. a train full of skidded wheels with flat spots a plenty!
How the cameras were set up it was an optical illusion
What I don't understand is why are you following these trains? Are you expecting more de-railments? Other thsn that its quite entertaining.
did u know unstoppable
11:08; When the train used too much red Bull for fuel.
AND END OF CHASE
All GANG of millionaforce WE DID IT WE DID IT WOOO WE DID IT
Millionaforce : wait a muintue wait a minute WAIT FOR MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Good video
Does your camera have manual focus sir?
Must of been a load of MTs. When I railroaded if you got a red light thrown in your face you'd better big hole that sucker. Pretty sure signals are better these days, that was 40 years ago.
I don't get it!
Big DWP Because I like trains duh!
Ur not supposed to have a scanner in the car
