Personaly I do like the older signals like at 1:25 they may looks odd but they got clever fail safe system. They've got an electro-magnet hidden inside the shelf which is actualy holding the "PORUCHA" (CAUTION) sign as long as they function properly. However once the power drops down the magnet will stop holding the sign and due to gravity it will slide down in front of lights and incomming traffic will be noticed. :)
