- Many times people struggle with growing carrots. Probably the most important thing is the soil. Make sure it is not too compact so the carrots don't have to work hard to get a decent size.

I've made great improvements in gardening, mainly because of one simple concept you said that inspired me and changed how I approach it. Lots of people especially the pros say " oh it's easy just plant it and water it" well they leave out all the years of trials and hardships they encountered on the path of easy. You were up front on failure and success. And the quote that opened my eyes was ( gardening is an easy concept but it is not easy work) that's when I knew what my problem was. Put in the work to get to easy, when you put in the hard work, you pay better attention to correct errors and better focus on the care and attention required to make it work easy. Basically hard work now makes easy latter. Thanks for teaching us.

Thank you for posting again. You inspired me to build a greenhouse and start hydroponics. I am really happy with the Kratky method you explained... "set it and forget it" really is true. Problem is I want to be fooling with my garden more than working! thank again.

Thanks for coming back on, Virginia brother. Great bed of carrots. My soil in Powhatan is red clay and really needs the amendments to grow carrots but we've been working our raised beds for a while now and they are producing.

Bobby...Thanks to you, I built a greenhouse. I ran out of room very quickly, so, I built an even bigger one. They are filled with vegetables, herbs and a few flowers. Like you, I use some hydroponics and and some directly grown in soil. Soon, I will be starting this years outside garden as well. Just wanted to say that I have learned much thanks to you. We all appreciate your videos. Hope to see more soon. Oh......I am even thinking maybe a third greenhouse. I keep running out room!

I regret that I almost unsubscribed because you were gone so long. You gave me the confidence to start a hydroponic garden three seasons ago. I am in Central Florida and I usually start my tomato seeds inside in early December then move them into my shed outside under lights until they go into the garden. I have a total of 18 plants, all various tomatoes but one green pepper. Just two days ago I picked my first tomato of the 2017 season that was ripe and ready to go. I just noticed today that two more are almost ready to pick. Soon I will have more than I can use myself and I will make my neighbors happy with my extras. Without you help I would have just wished I had a garden. You do great videos here and help people more than you think. Please help some more. Make America Great Again.
