For sure, when you watch a season of a show it sometimes takes all season to hype up and at the end you don’t even get to a resolution. Arcane is constantly hype and engaging with deep rich character development and comes to resolution every 3rd episode!
I respect this decision to make a 2-season show with a specific story arc. Similar to "Gravity Falls" which was a fantastic show that told a cohesive and very entertaining story that could have dragged its life out for as long as commercially possible, but opted to limit itself to a very good pre-planned story arc that left the fans with a great story without overstaying its welcome.

The future of Fortiche in the animation sphere looks very bright and wonderful. Even though I'll miss Arcane like crazy once it ends, I'll tune in for the next story they tell. Whether that's under the title of Arcane s3, or something else, I'll watch it in anticipation.😊
Info: global news about an animation series based on the lore in a game, that won 9 annie awards and that pushed the animation industry in the West to become better at making shows for adults as well. It became one of the most watched shows on netflix in 2021 second only to squit game. Arcane a young adult/Adult series.
10 years ago, what hooked me to League besides the gameplay was the depth of its lore. And I remember thinking that wow this amount of world building would look cool in the silver screen or as a series. Thank you, dear creators of Arcane for proving it. What a time to be alive.
Just finished watching arcane season 2 and it leave me happy, sad, confused, thrilled and most importantly, UPSET and it sums up with WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED feels
Great to see the legendary showrunner and my favourite animated thing of *any* medium given some time to shine in my own country! Excellent interview. Very honest and engaging even though there's so much we know he can't say yet. November cannot come soon enough!
People that produced this animation from Fortiche are great. I never heard of the game. I saw Arcane S1 on Netflix and couldn t wait to watch S2. This is better than Hollywood.
Arcane is the best thing to have ever graced my screen and season 2 is just about the only show I have been hype for for decades. Linke and Yee are the kind of visionaries whose work I will continue to follow for the rest of my life/their career.
Great to see an introvert in interview; it also highlights how hard it is to connect in video when interviewee can't make eye contact at all... I had to give up n just listen... Grateful the Co-Creator gave us Arcane S2. Great series.
True fans trust Christian to know when this story is done...he loves his baby Arcane probably more than we all do. And that's saying a lot. He's dedicated his life to it. I have faith s2 will be good!!😊👍
Thank god things went this way, its great they decided to stay away from such a predatory industry, Hollywood and the general mainstream media nowadays ruins everything they touch because of greed, i'm glad they decided to just make a 2 season series and that's it. They already gave Fortiche a big spotlight with the series which is very good, and will end the show in their own manner instead of being greedy and corporative.
I am sad to see it ending but I am happy when shows choose when to stop. I hope it will bring closure to the story because of this decision. Thank you for your dedication! Can’t wait for Arcane and what comes next!
Two seasons is pretty short, because Arcane is a masterpiece. I'm very happy they don't try to milk the story with these characters for a decade and instead chose to tell a proper story, write real characters and focus on quality over quantity.
I like that arcane is ending since it opens up the story progression for the other characters. I’d love to see different lol champs have their stories be told. And who knows maybe at some points the plotpoints will be interconnected as well!
it was such an incredible show s1+2. emotional, funny. just everything that makes a great show. the only problem in season 2, was that they sped it up. they could have easily got one more season out of it. we all want more. i dont care for the whole leauge of ledgends. but this show is one of the best things i have ever watched. im not sure if i am too bothered or not about more stories in that universe. i just want more jinx, kate, viktor
I’m not personally the biggest fan of two season shows but I do respect that the creator doesn’t want to do what most Hollywood shows do which is overstay its welcome.
Amazing work guys. Loved the show. Shows artistry and impressive work put into it. ❤❤ Makes it stand out from all the mass produced stuff we get nowadays ❤❤❤
9 years for 2 seasons.... actually I see he has a LotR picture hanging behind him, makes sense - Arcane and the LotR PJ trilogy are the two series that I feel got to that top tier level by spending the time, having the passion and dedication to make them right.
All jokes aside, words would not even begin to describe how overjoyed I'd be if future LoL shows explore Noxus and more specifically LeBlanc. And by "explore" I mean fully dive into the character, show a back story, perhaps a more vulnerable side behind the mysterious almost legend-like figure. Because to me, she's one of the most interesting characters in the entire game lore-wise, and yet she's barely touched upon... It's a real shame...
@@GrandpaJenk yeah and the only part of Bandle City that appear in that animated short is the portal, the rest of the short happen in Bilgewater. Ionia might not be as "whimsical" as Bandle City, but its pretty darn close with all the spirits, souls , furry people and nature magic. Its also the most popular region. Its also heavily connected to Noxus, which mean its indirectly connected to Arcane.
No way man. No offense to yordles because they're awesome but I don't think many would want a series exclusively with yordles. It's more likely going to be Ionia.
Probably Ionia, maybe Jhin, zed and Shen? Noxian invasion? There are many options. He didn't mean the story after all so the story can still be pretty dark. Ionia is the most colorful region. Bandle City is also colorful and whimsical but it's another dimension so not really Runterra.
christian Linke saying we're living in the golden age of video game storytelling really gives me a boost to keep trying to break into this industry. But boy oh boy it takes time.
About to watch the video but I think they want to expand the whole League of Legends universe but at the same time don't want Vi and Jinx to be the be all end all main characters which might make it harder to introduce other characters and worlds kind of like how the newer the Marvel hero, the harder it is for them to incorporate them in terms of us taking them seriously. Anyway, those are just my thoughts :)
They will always stay in their region so no that aint happening. Right now we have a intro to Yordles (bandle city “region”) with Heimerdinger and to Noxus from politics and the Medardas. We also have some references to the past with the runic wars and depending on how they do it with Ixtal for the gemstones. Singed will be relevant for a story around the noxus invasion to Ionia. Theres pretty much no references to Shurima, Demacia, the shadow isles, Bilgewater (this one would be amazing as a series), Freljord, Targon or Ionia (unless again u count singed). Theres a chance we only get introduced to some characters via movies instead of tv series because their stories dont involve that many other relevant characters, unlike Piltover and Zaun that has a massive density of characters to choose from and is also the best starting point for the general public into the universe.
@@rammycanales3784 that is true what you said, they will most likely stick to the same region with some of their next stories but fingers crossed that that, later down the line, they will explore others with new characters not related to the ones in this region to broaden the world
I would die happy if Riot finds a way to bring Hybrid Sound System into the music for season 2. Their music would fit well. A rare callout for DAOC, Christian is a real one.
I'm hoping they do Ahri/Ionian-Noxus Wars/Yasuo etc! I'm so glad people gave this show a chance and realized there's a lot more to video games. But he said 'quirky' so YORDLES?! Edit: And Chris has a great point that just because it didn't exist means it shouldn't or doesn't have an audience. The fan base launched it the series but the storytelling, characters, narratives, music - EVERYTHING - is UNIVERSAL AND BEAUTIFULLY CRAFTED THAT EVERYONE CAN CONNECT TO IT. THAT IS RARE! THAT IS ART!
ITS CLEAR WHY THEY ENDED IT. One people, humanity. “The thing that inspires our greatest good, is the cause of our greatest evil.” Look at yourselves! ❤❤❤❤

@@ade5691 If you don't think of Arcane as masterclass storytelling, I don't know what to tell you. You could say what you *do* think is incredible storytelling, because your standards must be incredibly high.
What's a masterclass in storytelling for you? I would personally say something like GoT S1-4 and True Detective S1. Arcane is quite surely on the same level as those shows. @@ade5691
@@Marta-uv4id Good or great does not equal "masterclass". Take your bias out of your ass or educate yourself to know what you speak.
Im 44 and I absolutely fell in love with the story, the character, the art style and music. Im quite hard to please so that says alot. It truly is a masterpiece and will be sad to see it end.
What a time to be alive.
animation style is the best I've seen for years.............OUTSTANDING WORK CAN'T WAIT FOR NOVEMBER IN UK
It was awesome and I'm glad you guys know just to end it where it is supposed to end.
Just finished watching arcane season 2 and it leave me happy, sad, confused, thrilled and most importantly, UPSET and it sums up with WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED feels
there are a lot of signs that point to (you know who that fell down at the end- i dont want to spoil for anyone who reads this) being still alive
I have faith s2 will be good!!😊👍
As long as there is more League coming on tv i am happy. If this story is supposed to end so another can begin I am ALL for it.
Every studio should listen to this guy.
Arcane is fantastic so glad i gave it a shot.
Thanks for this interview! Hearing Christian talk so passionate about the Characters is 🔥
Ella was definitely the most perfect casting choice they made
How did they manage to hype me even more…
I freaking need the show now.
Lets go!
How new people giving so much love in the League of Legends lore is giving me goosebumps!! that's why I started playing this game a long time ago.
Arcane is an absolute masterpiece.
FRENCH TALENT MENTIONED 💥💥💥
Put the co creator in the thumbnail I almost didn't even click on the video
Yeah, I almost thought this was just gonna be recapping news we already knew when it's more an interview type thing.
i clicked because i saw bbc and arcane together
Bro just read the damn title. Context clues are really lacking for you I guess.
Thank you for this show ❤🇵🇱
“Every continent represented” I’m so excited to hear the a cappella singing by penguins
Christian Linke is an incredible writer.
he's goated on every level

Two seasons is pretty short, because Arcane is a masterpiece. I'm very happy they don't try to milk the story with these characters for a decade and instead chose to tell a proper story, write real characters and focus on quality over quantity.
Change your mind, need more of this. Fantastic work!
Thank you Alex & Christian for bringing this to life! Arcane is a game-changing show. 🙏
YASS, official new regions and loads more content! So happy to hear this
I’m not personally the biggest fan of two season shows but I do respect that the creator doesn’t want to do what most Hollywood shows do which is overstay its welcome.
He possibly created the best show of this decade. It is amazing what he and his team achieved.
Good man. I agree 100% about shows that run for too long. Tell a good story, and if it's over go out on a high note.
"not knowing when to to stop" was spot on
This was a great interview
great interview, great questions comes great answers
10:58 please don’t go to big names! Voice actors should get opportunities above big Hollywood names.
really looking forward for their next project after arcane. its super rare to get new great storytellers in current day and age.
Well it is good to know that this isn't the end of seeing these characters on the big screen, maybe we will see Vi and Jinx again to! who knows
I hope so
Wouldn’t make sense
hopefully
Interviewer did a stellar job
"Brighter and Whimsical" eh? Noxus it is.
Their trolling us😂
Can't wait for the whimsical invasion of Ionia, featuring cheerful child soldiers and colorful chemical weapons.
@@icecreamcake5381Kled's Pov
All jokes aside, words would not even begin to describe how overjoyed I'd be if future LoL shows explore Noxus and more specifically LeBlanc.
And by "explore" I mean fully dive into the character, show a back story, perhaps a more vulnerable side behind the mysterious almost legend-like figure.
Because to me, she's one of the most interesting characters in the entire game lore-wise, and yet she's barely touched upon... It's a real shame...
Azir
Watching the new season it’s sooooo good! This show really is well done! Love it!
He alluded to a "brighter and more whimsical" region being one of the next adaptations... so a Yordle movie/series?
it's obviously Ionia
there's no way they gonna do Bandle City, because not even Riot game know what a Yordle actually is
They did have that one cinematic in the Yordle universe with Graves, and I don't think Ionia is their "whimsical" region, but we'll see
@@GrandpaJenk yeah and the only part of Bandle City that appear in that animated short is the portal, the rest of the short happen in Bilgewater.
I just hope there's a lot of Fortiche videogame adaptions down the road.
I would love for the creatives behind Arcane to take on other franchises, like Dishonored. That game has so much potential for a series adaptation.
I want to look inside this man's brain after watching season 2.
what a great interview. well done
@@rammycanales3784 that is true what you said, they will most likely stick to the same region with some of their next stories but fingers crossed that that, later down the line, they will explore others with new characters not related to the ones in this region to broaden the world
Good to see there's still some passion and integrity in the ideas for the gaming industry.
I would die happy if Riot finds a way to bring Hybrid Sound System into the music for season 2. Their music would fit well. A rare callout for DAOC, Christian is a real one.
Love the strandberg in the background
Probably the best show ever made. No wonder we're reaching the main stream.
My favorite show of all time ❤ so many props to the creators, it’s truly a work of art
I hope that we get to see Freljord in some of the future Arcane seasons... Imagine how cool an Volibaer plot would be
I'm hoping they do Ahri/Ionian-Noxus Wars/Yasuo etc!
Really solid interview, cool to see this on BBC
ITS CLEAR WHY THEY ENDED IT. One people, humanity. “The thing that inspires our greatest good, is the cause of our greatest evil.” Look at yourselves! ❤❤❤❤
My whole body is ready for Arcane Ss2
This could mean so much…
This is weird
