I think many people cannot create a floor plan from scratch without some experimentation and fussing with design. For me the XL command (Horizontal or vertical) is the most powerful tool in AutoCAD and rarely discussed. Please add this to your presentation.
I love your tutorial so much. It was very helpful until I went to add the furnitures. Your palette had all the furnitures already and mine had none. What am I supposed to do in that case? Do I draw the furnitures manually. How did you have the exact furnitures?

There is some basic furniture on the 3 standard templates. You can copy them from there if you have to. You can make these pretty easy tbh
