Great tutorial. I'm confused why you turn your work? Granny squares are always made to where you dont turn the work, I'm old school, been crocheting for 53 yrs and never turned my work. Just asking why turn?

It can help the squares to not become wonky :)

When I learned about the turning of large granny squares (especially blankets) it totally changed the appearance of the item! Small squares are not affected. Try it and you will be amazed at this simple suggestion!
